man their just full of excuses eh?? I wounder whats my isps excuse... my speeds are choppy as all hell. 1 test ago i was at barely 2.4 mbs. now im up to 2.7... when not 2 days ago i was in the 3.6 and 3.8 ranges:-

When you have a large upload, your download suffers massively, because your download also needs some of your upload speed to survive. And if someone is hogging all of it your download speed starts to give up.

May be bad wiring. Any kind of bends or kinks in the wires, or even cheap wiring can cause loss.

on 256 ya, you seem to be missing about 10 kb/s upstream. Id call your ISP and have them check your signals, because on the user end their is next to nothing we can do with our upload, tweaking wise.
