I don't use bit torrent alot, but I have seen sites like this go and come back. I will stay clear ofthe torrents for now. Yesterday alone i downloaded 1.3gigs and uploaded over 2.5, thats enough for this month lol.

And if someone does do that, and if that person can make sure nobody will ever spam again, then i will promise to not to anything stupid like that again. Deal? I mean it seems pretty fair to me, if someone else goesoff spamming and flamming in threads i start, then what makes it not fair here? Its the way you guys wanna run things, then ill follow. With Verizon, if I sue them, they will tell me its the light pole next to my house slowing me down lol The only thing that ticks me off is that P2P Programs run At 350Kb/s (my cap) and if i do a test, thats when it sucks. I think its only web browsing thats slow. I turned off everything i could and tried both of my computers. Its not a firewall, nor virus. They also cant be slowing me down because I overused the internet. DSL is unlimited, so they cant in the first place. And even if it wasnt, i only downloaded 2.8gigs and uploaded 2 this month. I really dont know what to do. I guess i should wait and time will tell...

My computer may not be god's computer but Its enough for me. 2.2Ghz pentium 4 640MB DDR (at 330mhz) 40 gig internal space + 80 external 64MB interegrated graphics (bleh!) Windows XP Home A 3/768 ADSL connection I can run most (if not all) of the newer games. So far the newest one i got was Need for speed underground 2 and it runs pretty smooth. I would buy a newer graphics card, but as im underage, i cannot work. I cant get a penny out of my parents either so yea. Rev, you have a devil on a box man. Although, id like to comment on one thing. On my computer, im able to do all those things that you are (ex: burn cd, download, browse, etc.) at the same time except for Maya (as i dont know what that is). It may not go as fast as your speeder, but i am capable of doing that.

Hmm its 11K, but Im at 10,100. One more question, If it does come down to the worst, and the tech (supposed to call Tuesday) says that I cannot receive the full 3/768, what should I do then? I know they cannot downgrade me to 1.5/384 without my permission because I did sign a year contract for the 3/768 plan. But should I keep my current 3/768 even if its slow during "peak" hours? Or should i cancel my contract and go back down to 1.5/384. I mean I can love with 3/768 throughout most of the day and slower after 6. But is it really worth it? The only thing holding me back from downgrading is the upload. Maybe if it comes to the worst, i can convince Verizon to make a custom 1.5/768 plan just for me? So for now, if i cannot fix my problem, should I keep 3/768 or downgrade (and return modem) to 1.5/384. I do fall under the 13K feet limit. I think as you have said, its my CO. Also, my ISP is my telco aswell. They should be able to do something about it.

If you had a 166mhz computer, then it would slow down . Anything over like 600mhz can handle a cable/dsl connection. RAM doesnt have anything to do with internet speed as far as i can tell.

512+256 = 768 total ram. You will notice a great difference in startup time, and the time it takes to open programs wil decrease. Games will run much smoother. I mean, i cant force you to go out and buy 512 ram because it is $100, but Its a good upgrade.

I can promise you, that if you get 512RAM and attach it to your 128, you will notice a GREAT difference.
