  1. Im sure it would cost you a good 20k $ per sue that you got.
  2. Just hope you know what youre doing. Torrent sites dont go down because they host the files on their servers you know
  3. Ok, maybe you did get that type of speed on this speed test, but that is because (like has been said) it was cached or something. When you actually download an MP3 or Video clip, youll get the typlical 3-5kbps speed, not 234kbps, since it isnt cached.
  4. No way no how you are getting 1.9mbps on a damn 56k. No way, never, ever. It must be cached or something.
  5. 124 ram? Wow . Increasing ram will make programs load faster, and your computer will have a place to store them in. Think of it like a shelf. When you open windows, and you have 124 ram, then you will not have as much space left on the shelf. Windows has to constantly clear up the shelf (unload windows) and put in other programs which you wish to open. If you have little ram, windows will cause alot of errors (from my experiance) and you might end up reinstalling it because of a serious error. So if you have 512 ram, the information from the site (testmy.net) will load faster, because not only will you not be unloading as youre loading, but your computers processor speed will increase, because once again, its not unloading anything. Going for 1gig wouldnt make sense unless you have programs that require alot of ram. 512 is the recommended for windows XP, and frankly, i wouldnt be able to work with any less.

C:Documents and SettingsMarcin B.HOMEPC> Good, bad? Anywhere where it could be better? Anything off? Also remember, im on interleaved so my first hop is supposed to be where it is. Its funny how all my traceroutes show around 30ms for all the verizon servers, but then screw up on level3.net. Thats another hypothesis someone had (the server in SanJose is over loaded because Verizon forgot to inform level3.net about upgrading people so the router couldnt help it) about verizon's 2004-2005 slowdown. Back when speeds were 30kbps, the tracert's showed over 100ms on verizon's servers, so thats a good thing now.
  7. Verizon DSL In NY there is a special for 29.99 for 3/768, but since you dont live there, than i guess you cant get it. For 1.5/384 its 29.99 anywhere if its available, and 34.95 I believe for 3/768 if available.
  8. SOB... lol j/k According to the site, CA3LE has the fastest with 24mbps. Geez im not even on the top 100 members i think. But im 18 on upload lol.
  9. *cough* Im your biggest fan *cough* Dont forget about me If you want, im open for serial numbers lol
  10. Like I mentioned above, hostinganime doesnt check their sites.
  11. http://82.149.22.18/eXeem%20BETA%200.16.zip Shh...! I didnt tell you that. You need a serial number to use it though and i dont have one. Better look for one on torrentsearch .
  12. Its gonna be hard to keep a torrent site legal. And I hope you dont host it on your computer . Hope you know what youre doing (no offence) but when someone gets your address, its so easy to hack you man. http://hostinganime.com - im pretty sure they dont care what u host, they never check anyways. Only thing that sucks is no mysql, so no phpnuke. Only php is supported. Just trying to help you out, dont get me wrong. Do not host it on your own computer, and if you are going to make it legal (if you can) then good luck with it!
  13. I suggest, strongly, that you dont start it. Before you know it, youll be getting phonecalls from your ISP/Host telling u youre getting your ass sued lol. So unless you have the money to fight back, then dont start.
  14. Or you can go into your network adapter settings, click show icon, and whenever the lights are blue, thats when your internet is in use
  15. Errmm, what do you mean? Ofcourse most ISP's make you use their modems that they send. I dont think any company would make FIOS modems/routers because it isnt out yet, or atleas i would think so.
  16. Yup, first thing they say is that its you. Then they tell u to reboot your computer, then modem. Ive been through this so many times that i know it by heart. Then after that they ask you to clear cache, etc., etc. i wont post it up here. If they tell you its your fault, and insist on it, then ask to speak to a manager or tell them to transfer you to presidential appeals. Those guys actually try to do something instead of reading from the book or whatever.
  17. FIOS wont be out for atleast 2 years, in the best case. Although you can be in an area that already has it, but i have not seen anyone who has it yet
  18. If your advertised is 3000 then 2800+ is a great score. I'd be happy if I could reach 2800 without any tweaks.
  19. I am on interleaved mode which is sort of like "Safe mode" where it wont have as much funtionality but it will run better signal wise. Im pretty sure I qualify for "fast" mode but some people at my isp dont know what "fast" mode is, so I wont be trying that anytime soon. I am 10,100 feet away from the CO, but my signals are as good as someone who is 4400 feet away. I think I should be able to get fast mode.
  20. The best so far that ive seen is lopster. Its for more advanced users though, and kinda hard to operate. But once you get the hang of it, youll never go back to winmx or kazaa again.
  21. Ouch... Hope everything is ok, and hope you feel better soon.
  22. I had a shoutcast server hooked up but it takes up too much bandwidth. Back when i had 384 upload i had 3 listeners (almost all the time) with 112kbps stream. One guy listened for like 24 hours straight lol.
  23. Is it only me, or are his pings extremely high? DIalup gets 400, he gets alot more. Maybe thats the problem?
  24. Could be due to high load on one of your isp's routers.
