Its Home Edition. For reinstalling the software, Its too much time, and I dont have alot of the CD's since i borrowed alot.

Wow I'd think that over the holidays it should have been slower as all those people were home. Hmm i guess I was wrong.

Is there any way so that I can edit something in the registry or something so that every program gets installed automatically into e:/Program Files instead of c:/Program Files. Since my e:/ drive is much bigger (80GB) than my c:/ (40gb), id rather use it for everything. But I also am too lazy to change every programs path to e:/Program Files. And also some programs install to c: automatically.

Could be Fiber, could be T3, could be OC3 for all we know.

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Windows XP Sp2 (click remove) Thats how I got rid of mine, hope it helps. Also, I downloaded it from the internet, then uninstalled, its not a new version of windows.

Well about a year ago I got a new computer. WIth it came 6 months free of AOL. So I said, free internet? So I turn on my new pc and during the windows installation it asked if i wanted to sugn up for the internet, and i clicked yes. I got my new telephone cable ready and hooked it up into the jack. I click New Registration and it dials some number which then tells me that there was an error. I tried it about 10 times before I got def up, and clicked existing user. I used my AIM screenname to sign up for the service. So, it worked and all and about a week later it was gone from my computer (only software, not account). One day my dad gets a bill, for $21.95 from AOL. I called them to conacel the service and their stupid machine asks for my Secret question answer which I have no idea on what i put for it. So I call tech suport who says they will cancel my account. Little did I know, that they didnt. My dad kapt paying $14.95 now every month before I looked at the bill. That same day that i did look at the bill I told him that I would cancel it no matter what. I downloaded AOL (eww), and signed on using my dsl. I look into billing and it says my account has 900 hours for 14.95 a month. But I never changed the plan, i canceled it completely. I then went into support, which was damn hard to find. I got into live chat and asked the person there what I should do. She/He told me I should call AOL and ask them to change my secret answer question. So i did just that. To confirm I was the owner they asked for my dads credit card number. And finally I got a cancelation confirmation number and all. It was all good then. About 2 days later I got a call from AOL. The guy literally begged me to stay, offering a few months free, and cheap DSL (or cable). I said, no thank you, i got DSL and hung up. Ever since that day, aol is gone from my computer and I dont think they are still billing us. The funny thing is that I never, EVER agreed to be billed. Neither did i agree for them to change my plan to the 900 hour broadband plan!

Its either 1.5/384 or 3/768 if you have a buisness package or live in NY and upgraded. If its 1.5/384 which it most likely is, then leave it at that, i'd be very happy if i could get mine to 3.0. :::.. That happened to my TV once, it started to go from the bottom to the top and half the TV was actually working and the other half was blue, i threw it out lol

Also if your upload is low then divide your upload by 128 and set that amount for the limit of users. So fur example, my upload is 768 and if i divide that by 128 I can have e7 users listening at 128kbps but I would set it 1 lower as the upstream is never 100% constantly.

Ok thanks, the burst didnt work too well, but Im back on my origional settings for cablenut (the ones you gave). Also, i dont have router, atleast i dont think. I have a modem which acts like a router, meaning I connect the DSL to the modem but the modem has 1 usb and 4 ethernet ports and wireless, meanning I can use any of those to connect upto 252 (i think) users to it.

Well thats not what I had in mind, but its fixed anyways. Thanks though. Also, if you want and have the time to, could you make a file for 3/768 dsl where it would have a really high burst speed. I wanna test that out lol.

As RTB mentioned, HDD manufacturers say they give you 80GB of space which they calculate as 1000*80 which is 80000MB but in reality 1gb is 1024MB so they would have to give you 81920MB of space, which they would loose money on. Thats what I think they do

Hay Van, i think i messed up my cablenut tweak thingy. So if I did, am i able to restore it back? The reason im posting is because I have no way to tell because my isp is slow right now (their fixing it) and I get around 800-1.3mbpos on speed tests. So if it is messed up, could you please post up on how to fix it up? P.S. I made a backup of my registry inb Cablenut just in case (before i did any tweaking with the other program), would loading that up help out?

I have a Realtek $10 adapter, a "Rhine" adapter, and a Broadcom 440x onboard adapter, out of all of them i prefer the onboard, so I think that would be the best lol
