Verizon? Ive been trying to upgrade for a long time already. I called in like a week ago telling them i wanted to upgrade my current dsl to 3/768. The man upgraded me and all, but i didnt get my speeds. I called in again and they told me i needed to sign up for 1 more year (cancelling my current year which meant sending back my current modem), and i needed to get their new modem/router. I asked if i could keep my old modem which would be doing them a favor, and they said no. I said i'd think about it. Is it really worth getting? I heard that the modem/router overheats or something and you cant leave it on 24/7. Do you have to pay $34.95 after the 1 year is over? Any hidden charges? I know you and FishNET have that plan, any feedback is appreciated. P.S. Sorry for going off topic : /

Even the free stuff isnt free, If you had free dialup, you still had to pay for your phoneline every time you dialed to go online didnt you? And your isp probabily gave you some sort of ads on your computer which they gained money from. No matter what, somebody still makes money on your happiness, they just make it seem like they dont

Great, thanks Im still working on the template though. Also, would it be better to have 32kbps with 10 listeners or 112kbps with 3 listeners? Which one would you guys prefer? Its been like 1 hour and 3 out of 3 spots are used. If i do 32kbps the quality will suck, but if i do 112 the user limit will be too low and the server will be full alot. Thanks again

s1 has a backwards modem lol. The usual 5/3 compared to his 2/5 . Ive had dialup for a few years and upgrading was one of the best things ive done. I was paying $10 for it, but the most popular ISP here in NY costs $23.95, and i pay $29.99 for dsl (1.5/384) lol

There is no way i went from 1.5mbps to 8mbps. My internet wasnt being used up during the 20MB test. I guess that explains people going 2-3mbps over their cap on testmy.net. Im using firefox, maybe the file is in my cache? But if it was it would be around 40mbps. So i really dont know... EDIT: The upload seems fine for the site, maybe the upload is hosted at testmy.net servers? Or maybe its just a firewall blocking us from downloading too fast from you? . :::..
