512/512 would be plenty of bandwidth for playing anygame. Latency makes more of a difference in online gaming them bandwidth.

yes they are, the use to just overcap the 6mbps and 3mbps plan, but now they are overcapping the 2 lower ones as well.

ive done that too, ive gone from 266 to the highest setting it would let me go to before. but i would not recommend doing that.

ISPgeek just be careful dont do too much at one time, becuase when you over clock the cpu you overclock everthing in your system from the cpu to the video card to the ide controller. only do like a 2mhz fsb jump each time and the test.

what did you use to tweak?

if you can try and do a ftp upload because i have that same problem with speed test sometimes, the upload would always be around 444kbps. but when i did a ftp upload is was about 480kbps

i gave it a try, its pertty good, but not as good as ewido. The main problem i have with it is it uses too much system resources.

a router is a switch. they both work the same exact way, they both route packets in the same way.

Sparticus013 you shouldn't notice a speed difference by using that switch over a router because that switch is a router.

ya that 1-6 business day is crap becuase of the weekend. the 1-3 is the best it doesnt cost much more then 1-3

what speed did it actually say. if it said something like 150mhz, 200mhz or 250mhz your fine.

he probally did UPS 1-6 business day. it will take a long time to get to you.

ya if you encrypt your traffic most clients have a option for that.

welcome to the forum lost329 your actually better then you should be. the only why you are going any faster is if you upgrade to the next plan.

if he is paying for 15/2 he has something really wrong becuase is download is only 7.5mbps.
