i dont do that its usially not needed unless your isp has really bad dns servers. you only have to set it on the router.

then there is a problem with the modem, have them replace it for you.

is it your modem or your ISP's modem? if it is there modem call them and have them send you a new one, you should also try tweaking your internet before doing that.
