one thing to keep in mind gaming routers only make a difference if you or someone else is downloading or uploading a file at the same time while you are playing a game online. so if dont plan on downloadinguploading files or have more then 1 person online at the same time then you really dont need a gaming router.
you dont have the correct power supply, i had that same laptop it needs a ton of power. if you have any aftermarket powersupply they will not work you need the dell branded power supply for that specific notebook. if you dont have one you can get one for about 30 bucks

you will never see 160/120 from docsis 3.0 ever in the real world. they will be luckey if they get 100/20 out of it in the real world.
if i remember correctly a fiber line can do 600mbps with no problem right now.
Does anyone know of a program to tweak there internet on a mac. I know a program has been posted here before but i am unable to find it. this is my speed right now its pertty good but i would like to try and get it to were it was before.

that actually usually doesn't happen because ISPs rarely if ever actually keep log files for more then a few weeks let alone a few days. and no one ever looks at them unless a law in force meant agency requests something.
do you have a router? if so make sure it is set to keep connection alive not connect on demand
also if you have a westell 6100 dsl modem there is a option in there for this as well.
