With CSS all you can do is change the way something looks. You can not change the name of say a link in a menu through CSS. Yes its fine. Since its a crap tastic template system, the menu is not generate on the template it self. Or there just was never a menu added too that template (most likely) for what ever reason. You can't really add unless you know how the script generates it because its generated on the fly depending on if you are logged in or not, and what level the user is. I would suggest you find a different template. If it happens with other templates then something is wrong with the base install of the script.

I don't really mess around with IRC at all. But after searching around a bit it looks like this would be something you would have to script up your self, with a log file analyzer. :haha:

The CSS file has nothing to do with where links are displayed on the page. CSS just defines styles for the page. (aka. the look of the page) The links are generated in the actual template PHP file. Post the .zip of the template and ill take a look at it.

yes vista 64bit runs them in 32bit mode. This works for most programs. Programers code the program to work in 64bit even tho its a 32bit program. 64bit tho still has a lot of problems with drives tho.
-
Blako no, thats not really how it works anymore. Vista is totally different because it uses a linux/mac style of memory management. There is no 2GB for apps. and 2GB for the kernel thats a stupid way of doing things, Everything has access too the ram, and can use as much as it needs to or as little as it needs too. And with vista it will actually cache the entire OS in ram if you have enough, then when you launch an app. it will overwrite part of that cache. Thats why when you look at the task manager in vista after 10 minutes or so of being on there is only like 10mb of free ram.

32bit will see and use 4gb of ram with no problem. I would stick with 32bit. Unless you are doing heavy video editing, or photoshop, and need more then 4GB of ram there is no use for 64bit. 32 bit doesn't have a problem running programs since 99% of programs today are 32bit.

Try and find a client for it from windows. Wireless on 2000 is totally useless unless you are using a client to manage the connection, and there really isnt one built into 2000. There are a few free generic ones around that should help.

You need to find the place in all the template files where the line is you want the links. Since they split it up into many sections it shouldn't be too hard too find. Then you just need too put the code of the array of the menu in there. It may or may not work because the template file may not be loading the right scripts too pull in the meny so you may have to fix that too.

Thats because it is my way or the highway I deal with this crap on a daily basis and I'm sick of seeing people getting ripped off because they were told something was good when its crap. Its worse then the computer industry, everyone is in it too get in your pocket. They will sell you anything to make a buck. The PS3 does about as good of a job upscaling dvd's as the xbox 360 does. You can spend a 100 buck and get a far better upscaling dvd player.

That doesn't work anymore. In fact it never really worked on DSL because your speed profile is not set in the modem like cable, its set on the dslam it self. So unless you are suppose to be getting 2mbps, your never going to go from 1mbps to 2mbps. Your friend is lying too ya.

This coming from people who have no clue what the hell they are talking about, or know anything real image quality. Don't believe anything you read on the internet. Blu-Ray is shit, HD-DVD is shit (and dead ), and the PS3 is a shit box Blu-Ray player, and anyone who knows what they are talking about will tell you that. There is so much digital artifacting with the PS3 its not even funny. When I look at a movie playing on it, it looks like a damn mosaic wall. The samsung player is far better, but it too is still crap. Sony's players suck too. If you want a real blu-ray player get your self a Denon 3800. But your going to pay out the ass for it. Blu-ray is already on the way out in many ways because it has failed to catch on in the home theater market, and thats a big market. (and i'm not talking about your little, go to best buy, by a TV and a rack for your 2 pieces of equipment, thats not home theater you all stole our name ) All of the jobs we have done in the past year, not one has had a blu-ray player. And right now we are doing one of the biggest ones ever in las vegas, and it will not have a blu-ray player, why because they suck, its not worth it. Part of the problem is all the copyright crap that is in them, it doesn't allow us too take the audio out the right way. The other part is with the quality, its just bad for the majority of the movies...

Whats your graphics card?

Those are pretty good specs. Thats one of the new dual core celeron's and they are really fast for general use.

Then you can't install zlib. you will have to do everything manually. Or if its not shared, then find out the root pass.
-
you need to first ssh into the box. Most likely you can't especially if it is shared hosting. then to install do this https://argon.sao.nrc.ca:28443/nmr/online-docs/html/nmr-setup-guide/node11.html
-
What component folder? You need to actually install this thing on the server under root.
-
Could be. If the last guy was smart tho it would be.
-
:haha: ok.... Well if its shared then your not installing anything. Did you get the info to login to the account's control panel and FTP?
-
The PS3 is the worst blu-ray player. The samsung BDP-1500 is a pretty good player, and the LG superblu players are also good. Personally I wouldn't waste my time with blu-ray. Optical formats really aren't the way too go anymore. If you have the internet connection, get a apple tv and get all your HD moves from there.
-
Well first find out if it is a dedicated server or not. Also find out if there is any control panel. If there is like cpanel, LXadmin, plesk, they have auto installers for things like this.
-
It will work no problem. 720p is still HD
-
Look here on how to install the templates manually http://www.joomlaresource.com/Content_Management_System_Tutorials/How_to_Joomla/Manually_Installing_Joomla_Templates/ As far as zlib how did you install it? Its probably not compiled with PHP or apache. What kind of hosting is it? Dedicated, VPS, Shared? And what are the specs. OS? any control panel?

It takes a 10mbps connection to download a 11mb file in 10 seconds. On his connection it would take about a minute to download a 10mb file.
-
If you are paying for a 1.5mbps connection then you are right around where you should be. Some tweaking might be able to get you a little bit more download speed. The guy on the phone lied too you. to be able to download a 100mb file in 10 seconds you would need a 100mbps connection. A way to find out what the connection is capable of take your advertised download speed in kbps and divide by 8, that would be the maximum theoretical speed you could get.

Push windows key + T or go file - New tab. If that doesn't work go into the preferences for it, and see if tabs is on.
