Ok I see, so the FTP server will be on your PC. You'll need to assign that PC with a static IP. Set that up on the machine, and in the router. It's easier when your just getting into it to use SNMP in the router, which will open the proper ports as the application needs them, plus PASV mode is kinda a whole nother animal to learn. Get yourself a static dns server like no-ip.com, or dyndns.com they both seem to work just fine, and use there updater service, you install the updater ion the server. It will keep track of ISP changed dynamic IP addresses so when that changes, the url will point to the right IP. You'll have a specific url such as myftp.ftp-server.cc . The FTP server will have some settings as well, you'll need to set a home folder for when you log in you are placed, and make sure to decide if you want anon login, if they were personal files, then I would say no to this. I feel as if I left something out, there is a little more to it, but you'll get to that as you go. I'm sure there's others here that can get you where you need to be as well

You can use filezilla , it's free, and SFTP capable. NEVER use FTP if you are hosting the server. Port 21 is very easily infiltrated by someone that like to do so. 22 is the ssl port. Do you plan on hosting your own local server ?

Correct me if I'm wrong because only way I would know is from reading about smartbro , not using it, but the specific MAC address of the machine connected to the smart network, must be coded into the base station, and this can only be done by a smartbro tech / installer. I've seen this same question several times before. And my thoughts are you'll need to get in touch with them.

I have to wonder if this somehow as well as a setting within the forum settings ,browser cache related. I say this because Iv'e only gotten that error one time, and that was when I had changed the settings in a program that acts as a port / data packet / cookie type firewall ( Netbarrier X5) , or when I switch to windows and use IE 8.

With sdram (single data rate) the divider was only running at the same rate as the bus, with drr , or double data rat , the bandwidth is able to run twice as fats because due to the read and writes are on the up, and down side of the sine wave, ddr3 uses the same idea, only the data is written on the up, flat, and down side of the modulation, or clock speed of the bus. I know the wording is probably incorrect, it's been a while, but this is how it was explained to me when ddr first was available.

What was the registry value when you looked at it ? It may be , like has been suggested, that the drive is simply bad. Maybe try some of these suggestions on another machine if available.

There are a few possible solutions , unless the drive failed, and went into lock mode. There is a registry line that sometimes gets messed up, and locks a device . I had this on "A/" drive many times in the past. I have alot of them wrote down in chicken scratch, so make sure whatever you do, you copy and save somewhere before editing. Just save them with a slightly different name at the end, in notepad. Start > Run > type

Here's my dual test from my HTC touch Diamond, not the fastest connection, but entirely useable. The page loads are much faster then I would expect from the results here in the test. I have never tried to connect this way (I'm on it right now ) , so now I know. I generally have all the machine and browser header data blocked from my computer , all the way to last site visited blah blah , this is why the "0's" where this info would be.
