Hell thats great. Do you know what bandwidth package you are subscribed to through your ISP ? -
Had it for four years now, last fall they upgraded to some boost BS for like 10 bucks or something close to it. Sometimes though, I only get a third of that, depending on who's doing what to my connection, not too hard to track down, but I don't say much, he doesn't really hurt anything.

This thread is for posting results from your testmy.net automatic bandwidth tests , you can either set the preferences in the auto test to run ranging from one(1) hour, to six (6) hour's, in 1/2 hour increments. Or every twelve hours or twenty four hours. There's no program to download onto your computer. You can either leave the test run in a separate tab, or a completely new browser window, and minimize it so it's won't interfere with your work or you won't accidentally close the test. If your on Satellite, and have a FAP, then maybe you could just run it for 24 hours or something, but thats for you to decide. The results are located in your personal test results page that can be located in the tab "DatabaseStats" , that says "member stats". Look to see at what times your speed increases and or decreases.

If your good with your machine, and keep it clean <OMG anyway, just set your browser to remove temp files on close, and keep the default storage as low as allowed. You won't have much of a problem w/ that silly windows anymore.

Do you have any program that might be stopping the traffic ? Many firewalls and spyware programs will have something like this built in, and just need to be set up .
-

First time I've seen a speedtest thread go as sour as this one did -
What ? ok wait, lets back this thing up a few inches, or a protrusion...er uhh, I mean, awe hell never mind. :haha: So anyway, there was this chicguy, and they had "it" removed, and now "it's" bronzed, all moldy and shit, am I right in assuming there's just something not right in this equation ? I was trying to say I wanted to see the chick, not the thingy...... Just for the record

Sometimes printers can be a real bear to get right between operating systems, so don't get worked up, it stops the learning process, ask me, I work on that all day What do you mean by factory restore ? A system restore ? Did you configure it before, of did it just work. Seems you have lost the permissions, just go slow, and look through everything, there's obviously one little thing that is stopping the detection between machines. Do you have any third party firewalls, or antivirus' that may be interfering ?

There being bred rampid here as well, there's a one pit per law, and there busting people left and right for fighting them, then they claim " there pets " . Every time there's something illegal, people do it more, tards, thats it ! -
Have you setup file and printer sharing on all of the computers ? Also look in the router configuration for the SPI firewall, if there is a setting to allow certain packets for an internal network , you may want to review them. I'm still looking for the actual GUI for the router to understand this particular router better.
-
Reading up on your router now, btw, looks like a real nice router so far. ...........................
-
Then Make sure you have followed the steps in the link that shug posted for file and printer sharing in vista. What about the router, will you tell me what make and model you have ?
-
Bonjour must be set up on all machines you want to be able to print on. Do you at least have the printer working on one machine ?
-
Are you familiar with Bonjour , it is an apple application that can be used for networking printers. Just make sure the printer in successfully working. Install bonjour, and click the printer wizard.
