Not sure what type of files your trying to upload, but I use uploadingit.com , works awesome, I've uploaded a couple very large files, it's fast, and reliable.

Well if it works, and you have updated the firmware, then why would you get a new one ? That's good that you kept it

I hear you , but once again, for the better part, the general user, those who know how t point and click, and thats it, the ones that bought the system set up from a box store, feel the same about Vista, as they do about XP, or any other OS. They don't know what is bad or good. See what I mean ?

Remove the deep freeze std evl 6 and then restart the system. Go to start->control panel->Add remove. Click it the window will open in that see your software is their are not. If their are means to remove it. if ts not their isn't go to taskbar see that the deep freeze std evl 6 exe file is their or not. If there isn't, You did not install properly. Check to see if there are any of the same file names in the program files.

For one thing windows will never really be a flop, at least not financially, there are way too many people out there that have no clue other than " oooh lookie pretty colors " . I also think there are millions more who would say " Linux , wtf is that again ? " . And half as many that say " I don't want to have to learn a whole new system by getting a mac ". And I have also heard them say, " I would have to throw out all my software from windows , and then buy all new for the mac " ( mostly untrue anymore ). If nothing else , this is what will keep the box stores, and dell/ gateway ect... mass licensing windows.

Have you run " sfc /scannow " ? This will take some time, what it does if your not familiar, is search all windows components and place them back where they are supposed to be. Just open a shell and type " sfc /scannow " Of course close all running programs first.

Learn PHP, you do that, and they'll be knockin at your door. Or so i hear.

Man , I thought you had this one taken care of. Have you run any memory tests ? I think you just have a bad stick of ram, I would hope thats all it is. Unless there is something that is eating your memory. Do you have two sticks of ram, if you do, shut down, unplug, then take one out, and start up. Before doing this : Start task manager, and look to see how much ram is being used, compared to what you have. EDIT : especially if you have ECC . Many people buy this stuff, and it's really only good for servers and such.

For the life of me I still don't any issues, or why someone would hate vista, unless you don't have the hardware to support it. Maybe I'm not using vista often enough, or running it " full blast " , what features can I turn on that are not set by default that will " push " my hardware that you people speak of ?
