  1. Without searching though hundreds of links to find the issue you originally had, maybe link me to it, or specify something that gives clues towards your issue. What is the purpose of your static IP? Sounds as if Noble is on the right track !
  2. I have never actually seen any statements say " blah blah " , care to quote what it really says? It tends to be helpful when diagnosing issues. Please help us help you : ).
  3. I never gave the electric bill a thought, maybe I should, I have three box's running 24-7, a local FTP server, modem, 16 port switch, firewall/router, VOIP router, VPN router, a wireless router, wireless camera's and a rig to back those up, battery backup for the server and one for my gaming rig, a printer server, plus the laptops charging at night along with the cell phones slupin all night. And who knows what else....... Dang , never thought about it, but the electric company must love me, wonder what my bill is, I'll have to ask the wife now. Hmm, now you got me thinking!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Thats really good time Buntz ! I really would like to see what the core does on an sli setup, maybe someone will get that going yet.
  5. Like Buntz posted, but I do things a bit differently. mkdir "C:Program FilesFolding@Home" mkdir "C:Program FilesFolding@HomeThread_0" mkdir "C:Program FilesFolding@HomeThread_1" see, two separate directories ext , copy to the client to the directories ~ copy "C:Documents and Settings"YOUR NAME Will Be HERE"DesktopFAH502-Console.exe" "C:Program FilesFolding@HomeThread_0" copy "C:Documents and SettingsYOUR NAME WILL BE HEREDesktopFAH502-Console.exe" "C:Program FilesFolding@HomeThread_1" Pay attention to your path! And don't forgett to use the "-local tag"!!!!!!! cd "C:Program FilesFolding@HomeThread_0" FAH502-Console.exe -local -configonly
  6. Bonjour moijean17 Sont bienvenus
  7. I would have to initially agree w/ NErancher as far as the interference, do you have any remote cameras set up? I ran across this once before, if so, simply change the frequency on the router. Are you using aantenna booster, like a "remote " one? Just for a simple check, change it anyway, if you live near someone that does have something on the same frequency, this could possibly be the culprit.
  8. Who has access to the server? Is it public? What are you running? For one thing, if your ISP sees what they call abuse, or, a server, they could restrict bandwidth. They don't want you running a server.
  9. Here are a couple of the sites that are accessing you right now............... http://216.250.59.67/privacy.htm please take notice at the bottom of the page, "Web tracking" You have a " web2 " mail client open http://wordpress.com/tag/ac/ look familliar ? just a question, have you recently querying about the military online?
  10. Thats good! All those numbers such as :50XXX , are different ports that are open right this second, once again, I am not familliar w/ Vista, but I am a bit concerned w/ all these established connections. You may want to check for a trojan.
  11. Jay-sus, that appears insane for you claiming only Aim, and a browser! Gimmie a minute to decipher what I can. ok, I don't really remember the interface to much, so bear w/ me, look where it says " connection " or status , or look around and you'll see where it say's S/N ratio , or something like that.
  12. in your browser , type in the Ip of the modem, should be 192.168.100.1 Look for the stats page ( assuming you have a motorolla SB 5100 or 5200, and post your SN ratio ect.......... Should be well below 50, if not, you may have a drop issue, ( bad cable outside. or splitter from the port.
  13. what about " netstat" can you post what you see there? At least if there are more apps running than you knew? actually, type " netstat -n "
  14. are you Sure? have you typed " netstat" in a command prompt to see all live connections?
  15. I have no experience w/ Vista, but it would be a first to me , to " register the router " to anything. You should be able to simply plug the box into the modem, and be on the net. First, Shut them both off, and turn the modem on first, so it can snatch an IP from the server, then , when lights read "online" power on your box. You'll be good to go, if your cabling is good . Post back please
  16. Could you possibly have a cable mismatch? There are two ways the cat5 / (RJ-45) cables can be wired 568-A and 568-B. Did you put these together? Or buy them. I don't see a crossover cable even functioning here, but sometimes they will sell you one, or you may pick one up poorly labeled. Have you tried to isolate the issue buy connecting one box at a time? Switching cables if there is poor throughput? Possibly going straight through the modem w/ each? Ping the router? Have you run an NDT server (Network Diagnostics) test and researched the detailed section? http://nitro.ucsc.edu/
  17. Think about it, just talkin crap anyway :evil6:
  18. hahaa, tru that, seems we all have one issue or another w/ our ISP or phone service. Hell, Time Warner has taken over Adelphia here, about 18 months ago, and they still havent gotten there servers switched over. I had a new drop installed due to the length from the port ( just under 1000 feet ) , I told them the thing was bad just due to SN ratio from the modem , they argued w/ me for two months, then someone that actually knew what was goin on came out and said " you have a leak" ...... no sh@t LMFAO, now there seems to be a laser misfire @ the head end , and they dont believe that, we shall see. Hell, they have already replaced the node , or should I say replaced parts of the node, a dozen times , thats obvious. It's not a card in the node, it has to be a misfire from the FO . Grrrr Uhh Tdawn, the gross chicks that go by boys names here :2funny: :2funny: :evil6:
  19. The gross chicks , or Coknuck and Shug :2funny:
  20. Your really on a roll tonight.................... :2funny: :2funny: lmao BTW, whats w/ all the butt references?
  21. Doesn't surprise me, Verizon has the worst customer service of all time.
  22. Best wishes on your B-Day Ca3le
  23. Hi heylookatme! Welcome to the forum If it were me, I would run " net stat on each box to see what open connections they may have first off. Many people are ill informed about DSL, Supposedly, for the 1st month or so, the modem must not be powered off due to, for lack of better words, equalize, or adjust to how far it is from the server. If this is interrupted for any reason, the modem must be reset, and left alone for the same period of time. I am by no means an expert on the subject, so you may want to research this on your own. Please post how long from time of initial modem boot before it was restarted , or powered off, as well as the configuration of your Lan. Including any and all switches, and cable settings, ie full/half / auto duplex.
  24. Well congrats on your new service It took you over two years to make your first post? WoW! I suppose I cannot say much, I " lurked "around here for a year or so before even joining. So, in lue of that, congrats on your first post as well Let us know how the new ISP goes .
  25. I don't have the Tiger OS, but I do have Leopard. I have the requirements for Leopard as well. As to my thoughts of a memory issue, I get the " error " message at the top of the boot screen , no matter the OS. From my knowledge, when the error comes up saying I need to reboot, this is a Kernel Panic, now the question is, what is the culprit, and why does the issue not adversely effect the performance of a non apple OS. Would it be worth the money to invest in " Tech tools " ?
