  3. So are you saying you like the other servers better because they give you what you want to see? Not necessarily what the reality is? Just curious...............
  4. Well lets start from the beginning then, just to make sure . Power everything off. Leave off for three minutes. Make sure you have things wired properly. Cat5 cable should be plugged into the modem, and into the internet port on the Linksys router. From there, run another cable from port #1 on the Linksys router, into the Internet port on the hughesnet router. Power on MODEM. Wait until you see that the modem has snatched IP from ISP server, all lights on , (generally none blinking) Power on the linksys router , wait once again, to assure Linksys router has been leased an IP from the modem. Power on the Hughesnet router last. Should take less than a minute for each device to get there addresses, but to be sure , wait just a minute if your not. Finally, power on the machine in question , if your wireless card , and program are configured properly, you should have a connection. Now, if you have played with the security setting in the wireless router, then you may want to reset both of the routers ti the defaults. then reconfigure them after they have established connections. They usually have recessed buttons on the back or bottom of the unit. Although I have a suspicion you are well aware of these buttons lol Try these steps, and post what the out come is . : )
  5. Throw this where you wanna, I have an AMD 3200+ runnin just below 2400 ( stock is 2200) for the past 4+ years, the only time I shut it down is to change hardware , (seldom) Lost two HDD's and 1 raid card, 1 PS and some bad memory. Lets see how far she goes : ) Oh yea, had a MB head south as well K-7 delta board , the lan on three that I have running went a couple years ago, the one that was warrantied had a case of " chipcreap" due to bad ball and socket joints.
  6. Sounds to me as if the modem, (or device between the modem and the wireless modem,if any) , may not be leasing an IP, have you accessed the wireless router to see if it has been given an address? Is it set to DHCP? as well as the wireless connection in Vista?
  7. Thought I'de post the real way I was suckered in I have a few friends that work for my ISP , when I was having issues, they suggested I visit TMN, So I did, it took me nearly a year of reading all the topics and learning the personalities to join. Sure glad I did, because I had to use the recorded tests for proof the ISP was not upholding there end of the deal. Not only that, I have made several good friends here. Thanks TMN.

  15. If your familiar w/ a Unix system and there shell , this is the one for you , works great , can't be sniffed! http://winscp.net/eng/index.php or VPN 1. Open the Windows Control Panel. 2. Open the Network Connections item in Control Panel. A list of existing dial-up and LAN connections will appear. 3. Choose the 'Create a new connection' item from the left-hand side of the window. The Windows XP New Connection Wizard will appear on the screen. 4. First click Next to begin the wizard, then choose the 'Connect to the network at my workplace' item from the list and click Next. 5. On the Network Connection page of the wizard, choose the 'Virtual Private Network connection' option and click Next. 6. Enter a name for the new VPN connection in the 'Company Name' field and click Next. The name chosen need not match the name of an actual business. 7. Choose an option on the 'Public Network' screen and click Next. The default option, 'Automatically dial this initial connection' can be used if the VPN connection will always be initiated when the computer is not already connected to the Internet. Otherwise, choose the 'Do not dial the initial connection' option. This option requires that the public Internet connection be established first, before this new VPN connection will be initiated. 8. Enter the name or IP address of the VPN remote access server to connect to, and click Next. Company network administrators will provide this information. 9. Choose an option on the "Connection Availability" screen and click Next. The default option, 'My Use Only,' ensures that Windows will make this new connection available only to the currently logged on user. Otherwise, choose the 'Anyone's use' option. 10. Click Finish to complete the wizard. The new VPN connection information has been saved.

POSTED: 5:33 pm EDT October 18, 2007 http://www.local6.com/news/14372198/detail.html Dang was this guy thinking he was going to cheat death by running from the fire? and after the crash, then to be run over WoW, Makes you think he did somethin really bad , or maybe it was simply his time to go.
  17. Couldn't have said it better! I think many people are afraid of what they don't know, so they just pass it by not knowing they could be having a lot of fun. Hell, it's just a tiny client that uses the unused clock cycles of the CPU. Maintenance free! I have clients running on Linux box,s and windows. No problems ever! and Ive been folding for a few years now, never an issue, at all. C'mon you, here's the link D/L http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Download our team # is 44352 I think you'll be surprised at how fast you move up the list
  18. hahahahaa, you never read the info they give you in that packet w/ your keys, that great, lol, it says " please leave keys in room , or return to front desk " or something like that , I keep them when I wanna remember the visit, but other than that I leavem on whatever flat spot they happen to hit. Besides , they just program them for the time you paid for anyway, there no good after that . unless they reprogram them lol Back on topic, Ninja, I think you'll be ok, if you do. I mean if it's within the AMD specs, then leave it, if your worried, redo it, just relax, and enjoy what your doing, and don't skip any steps, take it slow, and do it like it was your processor , wait it its
  19. Take one of your girlfriends to the no tell motel, and take the key home : )
  20. Personally I won't put the silver on anything, I use the white, I have heard the silver, (although never did a continuity test) was conductive. eeeeeeK ! I just don't care for how greasy nasty , and difficult the silver seems to be. It spreads forever, and is a pain to be sure there is none anywhere you don't want it. Just my opinion.
