Is XP the only OS on the HDD now?

If you installed xp, how do you still have data on external HDD's? If you had dual boot, then they most likely are in the system restore file. If thats the case, then w/ all the drives connected , go into system restore , and uncheck the drives.

While I was setting up my appointment for the drop,( found out they are having an issue w/ the BSR due to the fact one of the nodes ( in front of my house) is cracked open due to the high winds, I asked as usual, what new features they had to offer, and they offered 15/769 ( for a mere 9.95), and told me by the end of the first quarter they should have VOD set up . Who does this? Hell, I lose things everyday. I put them in " safe " places, and forget ! I have a good pen around somewhere. I was thinking more on the lines of a voice activated , hands free ,200 million bit SSL secure device that would instantly upload to your office digital calender, "1MM thin" sized , flash drive multi platform , gaming rig , computer , that contained all my banking , credit, contacts, entertainment media, .........hell, everything, thing, that we all get for free, updated , and exchanged yearly for the newest thingy , that needed no batteries because it draws power from atmospheric ions, floating around in the gaseous soup we breath. : ) Sound good? You cant lose it because it stays attached to your skin for up to six months before needing removed and simply rinsed off in luke warm water.

After viewing this video, and reading the article, I floated around for a bit to find a dozen sites claiming he took his oath on his own bible, next on his own Koran, on a book covered w/ black facing. who knows! You really cannot believe any of them, if there were one that was being truthful, who would know? SAD! Personally, I don't care for him, I have listened to many speeches he has given, and found them to be full of " promise, and hope" and more hope for the promise of hope, and change, for the so called " little guy" , and those in need. BS! There is little to no substance in what he says, just hope for change. When all else fails , hell, we got hope, well goodie, I feel better . I am yet decided on a candidate, not for lack of concern, nor attention. I will however find my vote , it may be a decision in the weeks, days, or even as I am standing at the legion in line, but I can say this, it will not be for Hillary, Obama, nor Edwards, guaranteed! As they have fallen prey as the rest, just attacking another, and missing the entire point of leading America. To set the minds of the people at rest, and create an atmosphere that is healthy , and prosperous.

I have noticed hat several Linux distros do not care for an OC system. Especially Ubuntu, and Suse. May be just a coincidence, but I have had much better luck when returning CPU to specs. EDIT: maybe try lowering clock speed during installation, then creeping back up after updates.

You just have to chuckle here, w/ so many acting so concerned about natural resourses an the throw away society we live in, why is it that many of us get so tied up in following the latest fad in media? Knowing that the most simple solution is right there at your fingertips, digital media on your HDD or flash drive. Movies, music, data of any kind. The quality is a bit better,on the disks, (I think) lol, but look at the cost! All those BR machines , and media now will be just another pile in the landfill, next to vinyl, cassette tapes, and eight track, to name a few. To me, it sure seems as if we should think more on the lines of what we place in our dumps, rather than where we get our oil. How does this fit in? Plastic, that takes oil! and all the chemicals it must take to manufacture millions of dvd's, there cases, the print on them, and that insane wrapper that takes a frickin razor blade to access it.
