When is the last time you opened the case and used compressed air to blow the caked dust off the fins of the heat sink? Most likely when you look, she will be solid full of every dust particle that ever went through there.

Ignore the things I post that you already have done K? Set up router, and computer for DHCP, shut off all machines, including xbox and router, make sure you are not in the uplink connector going to the computer. That goes to the router. Turn on router and switch, wait for router to obtain IP from modem, then power on computer, then other terminations. EDIT:I should have said shut everything off, then start w/ the modem, router, switch, then computer and xbox

http://spybot.com It's a program that will delete much if not all of your spyware, and allow you to change some system settings. Very good actually

EEEEK, dang, my memory is wasting away not useing xp much anymore sorry for the crappy instructions AAR, do ya got spybot? <<<<<<
-
ok my arizonian friend, do you have spybot? If not get it , and click on tools, goto system startup, look for folding, if it's not there, click insert, look at the att below, it has to be installed as a prog, or it most likely would have been running in the background if it was a service. Then find the link to the program and whalla Unless you want to get into editing the .INI in msconfig, or editing your registry , this will work . Oh yeah, unless you have others on your box for a long time, the settings are good, if you do, then tick "all users"

This prog looks like it may be useful, Maybe you could try it out and let us know ?? http://www.gregorybraun.com/MSWinErr.html I tried it, it looks simplistic , and does not contain your issue. But, I did find a link to the issue at MS http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262490

Right click a blank area of the task bar , and click properties > Click the start menu programs tab > Click the Advanced button (it will display the entire start menu in windows explorer) > Click the plus sign next to programs > Change the folder that contains the program you want to run on startup , then select the program icon (click it or hover depending on how you have your system set up ) > Scroll down so you can see the startup folder > Drag the highlighted program into the startup folder and release the mouse button. Thats it

I agree, You would have to find out if they were connected in series or parallel , they may have a smaller amperage and may not power you device properly. I'll check one out this weekend. This could be awesome : ) Like disturbed said -
Snap out of it man, were all here waiting for you!

Nice system you have there! I can't see why It wouldn't play your game though. Maybe disable some of the services you don't need while gaming. I would start another profile and name it "gamer" or something. Look at the links down here and see if they help at all. http://www.lockergnome.com/nexus/windows/2006/12/05/hardware-profiles-in-vista/ http://www.stardock.com/products/tweakvista/

a duplicate name exist on the network
mudmanc4 replied to heavenandhell's topic in Smart Bro (Wi-fi)
ok you say there are two of them , right? Then find the active one, make it the default , and delete the other one . If you cannot see any other connection, delete it if it lets you, and configure a new one. -

Looking for Speed Test site able to rate over 30 Mbps
mudmanc4 replied to mdixon's topic in General Discussion
Maybe, too bad his link is broken to. -
Personally , I would store my "save games" on the disk that is more stable, and I know is in good condition. I would also save them on a floppy everytime I quit the game. Or a pen drive. I don't save mine on the same disk as I have the game prog on, just because of what you said already, sometimes the things get screwed up, and you need a fresh install.

UPDATE! Paypal did what they were meant to , stopped anything and everything from going through that was not intended to. The sale went through w/o a glitch, and no moneys that were not allocated to the sale were moved anywhere. Thanks Paypal!
