  6. Thats the part where you cant have any regrets, just go with the manual :haha:
  7. no-no, I stated that incorrectly, sorry. What I should have had said was is there a possibility, there is a program running on the same internal network as you, that could be compromised, therefore able to attackyour machine? Or maybe you dont use a place where theres more systems around you
  8. Take a quick look at this prog. http://www.phenoelit.de/arpoc/ may be that your host is attacking you , from another machine on the intranet.
  9. :2funny: Just sound as if there is data in/outbound, telling his prog, that there has been a loss of connection , and theres only one way that can happen. right?
  10. granted , then the argument is , how is he (24hrs a day) re-connecting as you kill?
  11. Once again , obviously , I'm no expert, but seems to me, he has installed a service running ,(or several) (maybe in a code cave) on your root that monitors connections. Is it strictly TCP or UDP as well?
  12. Too bad you dont have a mac # Can you kill the prosesses, or for now lower there priority at least untill you get further?
  13. and this causes CPU overload? hows that ? Theres gotta be a something running doesnt there?
  14. What the hell is running? can you tell?

  18. Obviously , I am not an expert on this particular subject. I have been following this thread, and cannot conceive, how one cannot block an IP.(most likely due to ignorance on my part). As I dont deal in internet servers, please as easily as you can , explain to me how an IP, can pass through a router when blocked?Even if he's scanning ports, you could close those ports in wich being compromised, and switch applications to other ports , If you have the time. what about mac filtering?or is he got it blocked visually, bouncing?
  19. I must rebuke my past question on what one would use such a prog for, Reminds me of someones sig.................."Then it hit me"

  22. Personally I'm not familiar enough to know /gtf/dmt ect.. but as far as the refresh rate goes, there are limits to what your specific monitor will handle. As far as the other settings, my best assumption would be, each one has a general MHz refresh rate assosiated with it. Im sure there is someone here to answer better I did find this for you though http://www.nvidia.com/object/advanced_timings.html
