xs1 Posted March 7, 2006 CID Share Posted March 7, 2006 Haven't visited the site in about 3 weeks, it looks completely different, and the speeds are absolutely horrible. Reason for the slow speeds? Must be your config :- The sites never been running better. My guess would be that these stats are for a 10+ Mbps/512 Kbps connection. - Download 30 Day Stats (Overall Average = 6746 Kbps :: 823 KB/sec) - Upload 30 Day Stats (Overall Average = 478 Kbps :: 58 KB/sec)
DAOWAce Posted March 8, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 Optimum Online, New Jersey. Hasn't changed since the last time I've come to the site. First two pictures are from my last visit. The last one is current. The upload is basically the same so no reason to post another. So as you can see, it's the site, not me.

DAOWAce Posted March 8, 2006 Author CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 I don't use firewalls. Don't run antivirus/antispyware programs, I manually scan what I want when I want. I'm not a paranoid freak like other people. I have windows services nicely configured, my system is top knotch. My computer/router is DMZ enabled, router is perfectly configured, hasn't changed since last visit. I'm very experienced with computers, average for net stuff, wouldn't matter for this though. Larger files just waste more time. And magically my speed is even lower.

coknuck Posted March 8, 2006 CID Share Posted March 8, 2006 I was having the same problem as DAOWAce last night the test would barely move so I thought the site was slow. Might have just been my connection or the routing. Edit: Its all good now.
