MYRIAGON Posted August 14, 2006 CID Share Posted August 14, 2006 Test seems pretty close on download but upload a little low. I'll have to run more tests and see if they are consistant. Not bad for a Beta, should be real nice when they are done tweaking it.
Blunted 2 Posted August 20, 2006 Author CID Share Posted August 20, 2006 did anyone notice the region part where you can pick Russia, Australia and Europe just drag it to the part of the map where you want to test at and click the location. sean5900xt Posted August 20, 2006 CID Share Posted August 20, 2006 Looks like its out of beta stage. That site gives me same results as I would get at speakeasy.net, also my upload speed never turns out to good on that site.

FiberOptic Posted August 20, 2006 CID Share Posted August 20, 2006 yes apart from a few new server locations they havent done many changes... but sometimes it doesnt let you test whereas you can on speakeasy.

VanBuren Posted August 27, 2006 CID Share Posted August 27, 2006 maybe you should take your chair's leg off the network cable... good point! but since i have great speed against other sites, it must be a issue in the route or server. most likely a server issue since i have no loss. tommie gorman Posted August 27, 2006 CID Share Posted August 27, 2006 That's harsh, CA3LE! Its actually true, with the 22,500 mile signal up and then again down. Sat will never win. No matter how fast it is. We do fair better globally though. No real long distance to England at all. Same 45,000 mile trip. One other point I read recently also, if all systems around you were down. All it would take to get sat is a generator.
tdawnaz Posted September 24, 2006 CID Share Posted September 24, 2006 so if everyone agrees that testmy is more accurate then why are some people posting their speedtest.net scores in their sig?...just curious...doesn't make sense to me...posting inaccurate scores...and advertising for the site that did the test... Guest philp Posted September 25, 2006 CID Share Posted September 25, 2006 Don't take it personal, darlin'. I think it's just the cool gauges they use that attract the guys. tommie gorman Posted September 25, 2006 CID Share Posted September 25, 2006 Yeah, especially those of Van Buren's. The ones that look like he is about to bust the speedometers. (by the way, just joking Van) [i am actually still just jealous ] I thought we decided that as long as we keep seeing TMN on other web sites that we were not going to get our feathers in a ruffle? tdawnaz Posted September 25, 2006 CID Share Posted September 25, 2006 I thought we decided that as long as we keep seeing TMN on other web sites that we were not going to get our feathers in a ruffle? tommie, my feathers r not in a ruffle and i hear what ur saying but that's not what my post was about...the test is not accurate and it appears that testmy some how stands behind this other site...it's not up to testmy standards...i know what u guys r saying...but it's not going to be allowed...it in fact is against the sig standards in the forum rules...and we don't advertise for other speed test sites for free (there is a link in the lefthand column for that) and it's not free, i don't think it is anyway (they'd have to ask google)... i know it looks cool...but the test is not up to our standards...i'm not trying to sound snooty but it's just a fact...we all know it like i said...compare us with the rest and come back to the best you know what tdawnaz they might have that in there sig but they are still posting here which means something. they like it here i couldn't agree more...but...^^^...see above
tommie gorman Posted September 25, 2006 CID Share Posted September 25, 2006 My apologies. If it is in the rules, it is not that much to ask. Rules should be adhered if they are not rediculious, of which these are not. So be it. But does that mean that the hooters and whoppers are out?? philp you mean like twin hooters spinning faster in opposite circles as you go faster. (or the girls could see a whopper spinning) I do get a little confused though. So no more speed test site posts at all? Including speakeasy, VanBurens, Toast, etc... Or what exactly. I think over time it is a little hard to understand where the line actually stands. Possibly you could have CA3LE make an explicit post on the exactness of this rule, please.
