coolbuster2007 Posted August 4, 2007 CID Share Posted August 4, 2007 i really wished SmartBro has considered my request for the replacement of my Canopy to a SendFar antenna but unfortunately they turned it down. I will surely make a new thread regarding SendFar.
ispayk Posted August 5, 2007 CID Share Posted August 5, 2007 yes, but risky. its the canopy default/override plug. i will refer you to this forum topic: http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=18617.msg231294;topicseen#new Why risky? It's been working for me... I've tried before the canopy override plug but I grew tired of always climbing in our roof just to make some changes in my settings... IMHO it's the other way around, it's risky getting up on your roof...
coolbuster2007 Posted August 5, 2007 CID Share Posted August 5, 2007 risky...climbing up the roof
gourame Posted August 6, 2007 CID Share Posted August 6, 2007 surge the canopy. they will replace it for free. say there was a power outage and canopy went poof afterwards. works for me. first they gave me 3rd hand antenna upon the initial installation so i doubted it and it gave me crappy speeds. they replaced it soon when i reported its fried. serve them right. gourame Posted August 7, 2007 CID Share Posted August 7, 2007 surge it via reverse polarity dc current, i used mine 12 volts and it did what i wanted, at the lan plug you should short the wires there, i stripped off the wire from the positive and negative ends and shorted all the wires.
