just- Posted February 24, 2007 CID Share Posted February 24, 2007 Macau, a tiny special administrative region of China, appears to have overtaken the famous Las Vegas Strip as the world's top gambling destination. this is not me making it up its BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6083624.stm Las Vegas has been the long-time champ on the world gambling scene, but an up-and-coming player is elbowing its way to the table: Macau. The Special Administrative Region (SAR) of the People's Republic of China is currently one of the world's fastest growing gaming markets. It is estimated that during the next few years Macau will not only replace the Las Vegas Strip as the largest gaming market in the world in terms of revenue, but will also turn China into the world's second-largest global gaming jurisdiction, after the U.S. this is not me saying its the business week http://www.businessweek.com/investor/content/jun2006/pi20060608_011406.htm Macau rocks awesome place if you love a town with lots of sky scrapers its the place to be after nyc and hongkong
