coolbuster2007 Posted July 23, 2007 CID Share Posted July 23, 2007 usually, Smart Bro is fast at dawn because there are fewer users. kindly post a snapshot of your speed during daytime. from that we can tell how fast or slow ur speed on that part of the day is. coolbuster2007 Posted July 23, 2007 CID Share Posted July 23, 2007 what does Analog X Netstat do? does it help to boost up my connection? This is part of the Introduction of AnalogX NetStat Live from their website (ref: http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/nsl.htm): "AnalogX NetStat Live (NSL)! NSL is a small, easy to use TCP/IP protocol monitor which can be used to see your exact throughput on both incoming and outgoing data - whether you're using a modem, cable modem, DSL, or even local network! NSL doesn't just stop there, it lets you see how quickly your data goes from your computer to another computer on the internet; it even will tell you how many other computers your data must go through to get there! But wait - there's more! NSL also graphs your CPU usage of your system! This can be especially useful in identifying if your computer is what's slowing things down, or if it's your internet connection." It's self-explanatory. thugster_9904 Posted July 25, 2007 CID Share Posted July 25, 2007 @coolbuster as of now, im getting intermittent speeds.. sometimes i monitor how many users are registered in my basestation.. Even though there are ONLY 18 users, i experience a major slow down.. My gosh, ive been experiencing this for about one and a half months already.. I've even tried switching basestation to no avail.. its just the same speed... I'm always clearing my cookies, browsing history and all internet files... I'm sorry for being redundant but can someone give me some help on this matter? 2 months ago, ive been experiencing good connection but now.. *sigh* Tnx for the reply tho'! freelancerage Posted July 25, 2007 CID Share Posted July 25, 2007 quick question...from a newbie 1st: somebody told me that smartbro is using the same base station as the smart cellular network.. so it means that it doesn't have it's own base station.. so it means that if everyone is using smart mobile there chances..ur network speed will be affected 2nd: some of their network admins are inexperienced and there was a 2005 meeting or something regarding certain ports that they're blocking... 3rd: i saw in last year news archives 1nq7.net that NTC is ordering smart to stop hiring new applicants of smartbro due to tremendous and massive complaints they're receiving...what happened with this one thanks a lot..a newbie here
coolbuster2007 Posted July 25, 2007 CID Share Posted July 25, 2007 @ thugster_9904 assuming that all options have been laid, we must remember that SmartBro is a wireless connection. Thus, it is susceptible to interference by devices as basic as microwave ovens, landline telephones, radios, trees, high walls and buildings, which can block the signals. kindly triple check if any of what i've mentioned could be the culprit. in the meantime, spare a little time of emailing customer service and attach snapshots of slow connections in your email to further justify your complaint.
