fr0stbound Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 yes coolsurf, that's the one. looks like you are very lucky with your connecntion. where are you from? @coolbuster - i was at bacolod partying for almost two weeks(semestral break). the resorts there were great. downside is the hangover was a killer. i doubt it if my brain ever gets rehydrated back to normal. shooter14 Posted November 14, 2007 CID Share Posted November 14, 2007 by the way my RSSI are playing from 400 to 1500 jitter from 1 to 7 and my powerlevel -79dB to -45dBm my air delay is approx. .19 miles.. is there a problem with my antenna? or the base station? jacdmac Posted November 15, 2007 CID Share Posted November 15, 2007 guys can u explain! howcume when i test my dl @testmy.net dl=21Kb/s but limewire shows max dl=61 Kb/s thats about 499 and kbps ryt and even it goes crazy like 78-102 Kb/sec for a minute then goes back to average 61-65 Kb/s? does it mean that i have that actual speed? or the one that @testmy.net? and why is coolbuster and frostbound so good all about this? what are you guys up to? are you net specialist? ehehe watever! i feel i have the best pc name it i got it.. from sophisticated graphics to mind breaking sound system everything but dual! the thing is how can i ever enjoy this without such knwledge like coolbuster and frostbound and everybody else here! and get that boost from my internet connection. and by the way, everytime i change settings on my canopy i am in boot froze mode. do i need to boot thaw to make it appropriate on the system change? Guest enzobaby Posted November 15, 2007 CID Share Posted November 15, 2007 guys,if ur pc is slow i wudn't suggest avast av and comodo firewall.... and always check ur hardisk memory cause it can also be a factor to have a slow internet connection.... All you need to do is install limewire and it will connect you to other limewire users at the Gnutella protocol. what you are experiencing when reaching 100+kB/s is temporary speed surge. what am i up to? to gain more knowledge and share that knowledge to others. i just read a lot. please elaborate on what you mean by boot froze mode? thanks. Are you kidding?! Geez! Considering that you exprience 1500 RSSI, it should provide you good iNet speed. But when you factor in the jitter of 7 and distance of 19 miles..not including the density of user in your area.. It could be the culprit of your poor iNet speed aside from the possibility that something stupid is up with your basestation.

elvin1234 Posted November 15, 2007 CID Share Posted November 15, 2007 hello TMN people. i feel new here. XD just wanna ask the basis for difference in result on 2 units with the same tweak. here, it is said that a tweak on one pc can give a different result if tested on another pc. what is/are the basis on the given statement? the Hardware or the Operating System? i know basestations are involved in this. but lets say 2 pcs with the same OS, environment,RSSI,Jitter,Distance from the basestation and configuration on the basestation but they have 2 difference hardware. is the difference on speed between the 2 units material? hope i get replies. analysis from you guys will be appreciated. No significant difference i guess. But if 2 PCs have same specs homed to different base stations ( one is busted and the other is excellent) then you can clearly see the difference...
