huh?

T3? why did you use that?

No use to compare scores if your not using the files i set a cap at.

btw changed MTU????

T3 has a MTU of 1500 already, its the MSS thats 1460

MSS= MTU -40

whoops my bad, your right :P

and im using the t3 settings because its the only one that makes a diff for me =

The only diff you will see with T3 settings is burst speed, not the "real" speed your connection has

and i bet on high ping sites you will run even slower with that high RWIN

I tried the T3 just for the heck of it and i get the same results as i had with my other one lol' date='[/quote']

Yea against this site, try downloading on a high ping server, then you will see what i mean and also your flow control wont work very well when your uploading at same time as you downloading.

I didnt make all these files just for fun

van, i tried updating, but those are for win2k on the 3k/384 settings, can you make one for win98? it wont let me load it :/

Use the 1500+ file in win 98 folder, but there is no upload tweaks for win 98.

only xp and 2k has that setting

VanBuren

I would change to XP if i was you, alot better TCP stack to get speed

omg lol, do not use T3 settings, that file is made for connections with a download and upload speed of around 45 Mbps

use the settings for your connection type and cap

VanBuren :)

:) Yeah, Van Buren is correct it may show a difference in burst speeds but I'm postive it slows down speed overall and you'll see a lag when browsing.....

well i tested it and i like it.....i chose the correct setting and on the 2992KB test i do get like a crazy burst in the begining, and it seems like it finishes the test so fast, but according to the numbers it seems same - although, i like it....feels faster, when downloading im actually able to reach speeds of like 600-700Kb/s when comparing to before (~450)

Too bad there's no file specific for my connection. 2560/384 is unusual, and 4000/1024 even more, but still... they're not there.

Could you make those two custom files for me? Too bad I still have to wait eons for the upgrade.

Going from half-duplex to full worked. Getting ~75 Mbps now...

Cool, 75 Mbps is a hard load on your hardrive aswell, that can be a abig bottleneck.

I suggest you try Cable & DSL 2000 384 and Cable & DSL 3000 384 files and compare what file that works best for you.

Here is a 4000/1024 file

good luck
