VanBuren Posted November 29, 2004 CID Share Posted November 29, 2004 Chceck out my speed test from university with the same specifications as yours Nice just just add a 0 more to the Databitrate in UDP. that Databitrate is 10 Mbps, you should use 100 Mbps VanBuren

VanBuren Posted November 29, 2004 CID Share Posted November 29, 2004 thats sweet speed you can also try the TCP test, just fill in the amount of tata to transfer ( 30000000 ) 30 MB use send or recive, full duplex test only work with UDP. VanBuren Posted November 29, 2004 CID Share Posted November 29, 2004 I am home now but i will to do TCP test both up and down tomorrow morning that was not a bad test do u sugest any special server van? I suggest you stick to Bredbandsbolagets server, or Song Networks, IP performance, or Telia, i think those should have the best routing to you. All these servers probl can handle 100 Mbps but the routing is diffrent. Usally TCP is abit slower, you need to shake hands after each packet is sent and that can slow down transferspeed. UDP dont want to shake hands, it just keep sending no matter if the packet is lost. Thats why you need to tweak TCP settings to get full speed. just- Posted November 29, 2004 CID Share Posted November 29, 2004 Yeah i know tcp is a bit of a pain in the ass compared to UDP but then if u want reliable service u need to use tcp build for diffrent purposes UDP is more from streaming

Guest PeePs Posted November 29, 2004 CID Share Posted November 29, 2004 lol.. unless 99.8 % of every file on your comp is spyware i doubt it would make a connection drop that drastic HAHA! Well, I've got some really bastardish spyware. It keeps reinstalling itself, so basically I think I need to reformat so then after that i guess we shall see! I'm almost sure its not spyware anyways because my other computer on windows 98 used to get like 150 KB/s and now that one is down to liek 60 ...... lol DAMNNN. Everyday I just hope my upload comes back, but it never does and then i cry.
