dliw : This test is fairly accurate for speed.(but don't use this part to set your RWIN The receive buffer should be 42.11 Kbytes to maximize throughput) There are much better ways to determine this.Van Buren can help you tweak your RWIN & other settings. If you need help with this. Cholla this is the same test on my 56K:TCP/Web100 Network Diagnostic Tool v5.3.3d click START to begin Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

dliw : Van Buren is offline right now he will be the best help to you .Just find him online & PM him if he doesn't awnser your post. For now I have a different connection(56K) but take my advice on this don't use the test you posted to set your RWIN(receive buffer). Cholla

hey cak46 : I will leave most of the help to Van Buren but you have to enable window scaling to use a larger RWIN than 65535.If you have installed Cablenut this setting is TCP1323Opts set to 1 .Then put the larger RWIN you want to use.I like to use speedguide.net tcp analyzer to show you that the scaling is working & suggest RWIN based on a multiple of your MSS. It will show an unscaled RWIN of like 64240 & the times scaled. Cholla

REH: How much time did you spend from the time you found the mistake, found out who to e-mail at paypal & or ebay to straighten the mistake out,did the e-mailing,& checked to make sure it was done correctly ? Cholla

The amount of time is not the point it is I don't owe any time to a corperation that is not paying for it.I have already explained about if it was an individual. fikester check out this old topic to show you the speed my 56k was getting before my ISP did something to slow me down https://testmy.net/forum/index.php/topic,1739.msg17434.html#msg17434 I'm still using the same PC,modem, location & ISP. As far as the "if it was a

fikester :First you have the right to put your opinion in this topic. On the lottery it would be paid to the heirs until it was paid in full. This would be the husband if there was no will that stated otherwise. But I see your point greed is a motivation for many things. I think this is the wrong topic for the abortion issue whichever side you are on.If you think this forum is the place for a discussion on this you are free to start another topic on it.Since this topic is about the death of Terri . As far as I know abortion has nothing to do with her. Cholla

Stank_Ho : No my mantra is more like "get it done ".But let the other people do their job since I don't have time to do mine & theirs & still "get it done". Helping an individual as a good Samaritan is another matter I just don't feel this way about big corporations like paypal&ebay which is what the topic is about. I don't try to "screw "anyone at least like you mean. I'm sure I have "screwed" people in my life most of us have but I try not to. I'm not a beleiver in karma this is Hindu philosophy if I 'm correct( not my religion). As for what comes around goes around I have known good helpful people who were always getting craped on by the people they were trying to help & bad people who seem to have everything go their way. I don't really fall into either category. Cholla

.s1 : I do understand about changing the channel the media has really gotten all they could out of this . I have only been hearing about this case for a couple of years mostly in the last 6 months I guess if I had been hearing it for the last 13 or 15 years like .s1 I would be ready to change the channel too. I like Cobra's point it should have been a family matter.I'm glad my situation was a private family matter. Cholla

helloimtim : Guns have always been easy to get they are harder to get now than they were 30 years ago. When I was a kid I could buy my own .22 shells at 8 years old.Way too young some would say but I have never had to shoot anyone.Starting early gave me a respect for guns as well as defending them. This is going to catch me some flames but the solution for parents that are too busy to raise their children by spending time teaching them is simple.Don't have more children than you have time to raise correctly. If that means none or just 1 thats what it means. I went to his site after receiving an e-mail.It was ok a little slow though. That was to be expected witha new site.I didn't have any problems there. If it is available I will occasionally visit the site.If its closed there are plenty of other sites. Cholla

David : I agree with you in there should be a more merciful way But this is the only legal way currently available. .s1: Does that mean oh no I have to hear this again or did I misunder stand. I think I understand this it means time to change the channel so I don't have to hear it. Pretty cold-blooded. Cholla

ROGMAN : I wanted to address the assault weapons & comparison to hunting.Their is nothing in the second amendment about hunting therefore they are not tied togather. If they were we could hunt anywhere
-
peepnklown : This training has apparently kept you from using the gun in a wrong manner.I think the people that defend the second amendment are very aware of the rest of our rights. They just realize that this may be the way we will have to protect them. Here is a quote for you to research :" The history of firearms is the history of freedom" . Before this most people were slaves of their King & other so called royals. This is the reason George Washington turned down being made king. To be refered to as "king" in this country should be an insult not a compliment. The same with "royal" like the Kenedy family has been called many times " America's royal family" I'm sure you have heard this in the media. It's to bad they don't try to stop this calling it the insult it is. The family on both sides has my sympathy.I personally think a year would have been long enough for this decision why wait 15.This should have been her husbands decision which by law it was(of course he should have taken her families opinions into consideration).I speak from some experience having 2 close family members die of acute Leukemia. Without going into details this can be pretty bad toward the end. With the person with Leukemia being in a coma. It is a tough decision to make to stop treatment but sometimes the right thing to to.

Stank_Ho: I would definatly call in a fire at my neighbor's house.I didn't say like I never saw it.Just to let paypal use the employees they already pay to do the work do it.This is certainly different than an emergency Just a business mistake. Cholla

helloimtim: This is what I think about the children & guns issue. There was a time when parents gave their children proper instruction on the use of guns. This included not only how but when & where to use them.Children even took their guns to school so they could hunt on the way home.Somehow they were taught not to shoot their classmates. So I would have to put the responsibilty on the parents for not giving their children the proper training & respect for guns. The government control on parents ability to do this as well as in the past is another topic & up to parents to fight for this right. Cholla

Hey All: This is partly in response to Budda_ Tree's quote of part of the second amendment about " A well regulated Militia" this is the part gun control advocates always quote.Although all American citizens are part of this militia the draft used in the past & useable in the future is proof of this .If the country decides it needs you you will be drafted into the militia .This is usually males within a certain age range but it does not have to be. This part does not use miltia in saying who has the right " the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." but people. So as one of the people I support & exercise this right. Cholla

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. I posted this without comment I willmake mycomment in a post below.

Hey REH :Since you already returned it its too late for advice.I would have treated it like they never put it in my account.Let them spend their time tracking it down which I'm sure they would have done. Then as long as it was still there it wouldn't have wasted any of your time.I surepaypal or ebay didn't pay you for the time you spent returning it.As for keeping it I bet the E-contract with paypal or ebay already covers something like this in the fine print.you can be sure they have their ass covered.Definatly a temptation though obviously the moral thing to do was return it.My way would have done this just at no waste of your time. Hi philp: I'm a fan of his & made a quote in another poll I started .That was moving that topic toward Heston so I started this one. I bet a lot of members especially younger ones didn't realize how many movies & other things he had been in. Cholla
