  1. Hi all: The best one for me was the Desperado located at Buffalo Bills casinso Jean ,Nevada.(about 40 miles from Las Vegas,Nevada). You actually board it inside the casino. It's first vertical drop is 225 feet into a tunnel.I prefer the front car. Another good one (kind of a mild ride)is at Stratisphere casino Las Vegas,NV.it goes around the top of the Stratisphere tower 900 feet above ground level. I also have ridden all at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington Texas probably the best group in one place. In my home town the Texas Tornado is pretty good it has a tight loop with a lot of G force.

Hi MrConstantin: The dig it part of my post was just a little humor with the topic. As a forum regular the other members know I have regular dial-up.That was obvious because who would post that speed for cable or other fast connection except to troubleshoot. Thanks for the compliment Cholla
  4. Hi VanBuren: Just a question why are the DefaultReceiveWindow & the GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize different? also above you said DefaultReceiveWindow should be a multiple of 1024 .Speed guide Tcp/analyzer uses mss specially 1460 as the multiplier. Which is correct? Cholla
  5. Hi Monkhoous: Try this to see if it explains why the lower mtu is working. If you can ping your isp I can't ping mine but learned this on one I could ping.Go to dos type: ping Your ISP address -f -l packet size ( this is an example put in your approiate settings: ping nts-online.net -f -l 1452) the l is a small L . then try it with a higher packet size until you get a message about it fragmenting. You packets were probably fragmenting at the higher MTU.The highest packet size you can send without fragmentation should be your max MTU.the good thing about this test is you don't have to change your settings to do it. 7. Hi netmasta: I would call your collection impressive.I would call the other guy obsessed or possessed.I don't Have mine as well liste as yours But starting in order of age I have: Intellavision, this is first because the old Atari I had bit the dust,Commodore 64, Nintendo NES,Sega Genesis,Nintendo Virtual Boy I have some cartriges for all of them I think the best amount would be the Commedore or the NES. I know there are newer games but I don't have time to play these as much as I would like to. Cholla
  8. hi Tbrown: I still play mine sometimes too .I got it out the other day & played some that is why I thought I would post the topic. I missed night stalker some way so I haven't played that one .I would guess that it was based on the TV show of the same name. The favorite I still have that works is triple action with biplanes, tanks & indy type racing.I like the boxing too but it can be hard onthe controlers once the adrenelin gets going Hi Microwave it probably is the origonal dungeons& dragons .I don't think Atari had one out before. Cholla
  9. Hi Microwave the one you are talking about was "advanced Dungeons & Dragons" I wore this one out & no longer have this cartrige. One of my favorites too. How about the bi-planes in one called triple action. Lantom the had several I will have too look through the ones I have iI think the asteroids type one is space battle.I think the sea battle one you are talking about is Utopia. Netmasta cool on the coleco there was also a steering wheel & accelerator pedal fro the coleco race games. Cholla
  10. Hi all: I still have this electronic game I just thought I would see if anyone else had played on one.I got mine when it came out I beleive this was in 1978 .Thats the date of the oldest game cartrige. It was a pretty sophisticated game for its time the controller is a hand held 12 key with 4 side buttons & a pressure disk below the 12 key was the joystick. The disk was 16 direction.I think Atari came out before this but was much simpler.I know there are much more advanced games now but some of the first ones like this are still fun.So anyone ever play this electronic game? And how about that type controller? Cholla
  11. Hi Microwave: Thanks I just asked because they matched what VanBuran came up with for the maximum bandwidth. At least they were both 2920.A lot of the readings of the test above are beyond my knowlege. Cholla
  12. Thank you VanBuran: I guess I just needed the extra detail I did not think of RTT as the total latency for some reason. The figure you came up with 2920kbps matches this reading in the test I think would be this the number matches they just didn't put the kbps after it.the reading is MaxSsthresh & CurSsthresh both have 2920 as their reading.Do you think this is their term for maximum bandwidth or the reading is just the same number? Anyway I think I learned something thanks VanBuran. Cholla
  13. Hi VanBuran: thanks for the formula I copied it & put it in my documents file.Unless I am missing something the test did not give me theMaximum latency or the download cap.I have to have one of these to reverse work the formula.I also would like to know if this actually is an upload & download test .If it is is it so short it doesn't really tell you much.I guess "10s inbound test (server to client)" would be 10 seconds long & would be the download test. They just phrase it oddly. What do you think? or one of the other members I would like your imput too. Thanks Cholla
  14. .s1: You awnsered about the dsl/cable part now I know why it reports & about the cap thats what I thought it might mean my isp didn't admit that when I asked their tech.About the"Information: throughput is limited by other network traffic." I did know that just not what "This connection is network limited 99.96% of the time" meant for sure until you explained it.I thought the RTT seemed high if the outbound & inbound actually are download & upload tests & the speed reported by them is correct. I am still not sure about this it would seem to indicate high latency. My isp blocks ping & tracert so I can't test this way . Cholla
  15. Hi all: I have seen others post part of this test.I find some conflicting results in it. first are the outbound & inbound tests download & upload. If they are then why do I get a RTT of 716 ms at this speed 121.24Kb/s.Why does it report this Cable modem/DSL/T1 link found when I have dialup. What does this mean:This connection is network limited 99.96% of the time. Can anyone explain the checking for mismatch results near the bottom or any of the checking for results.or are these results or just telling me what the test is " checking for" & not results of this specific test. The "checking for" sections are over my head.So if anyone can explain them in more simple terms I would appreciate it. Thanks Cholla PS CA3LE I tried the spell check on this it has a small problem it will not go on unless you make the first correction it finds it did not like RTT in this post otherwise I could use its help, sometimes. 16. Hi Microwave: I appreciate the compliment I have tried several tweaks to this system. Some good & some bad & tested till it is working like it is.I'm just saying it took a great deal of patience .As for other 56k dial-ups not posting out of embarrassment because of my scores I'm not so sure about that.I have looked some in the archives & will look some more .I don't think I will find many that were posted before I joined the forum. So I think the 56k dial ups are embarrassed by the really high scores of most of the members with either dsl, cable , or satellite. However all I see from most members is good score to another member when they post no matter what they are using. The three faster systems than 56k vary in the speeds they get also overall cable seems to be the fastest. The higher speed systems are also limited by caps this is usually due to the amout spent for their service.Members just try to get the best their systems will do & are happy to post when they are meeting or exceeding their limit. So I hope some will see that no one is put down for the score they post & post some.As for me I'm kind of hard to embarrass. Cholla
  17. Hi Microwave: I guess the forum already knows about my opinion of dial-up.Just thought I would post.Do any of the fast er connections have dial-up as a backup. How about running a test if you do.that is if you don't have to stand on your head & stack BB's to do it.OOPS I let out my secret Cholla ::.. 21. Hi Lantom I envy the Ferrari drive.the trans am doesn't sound too bad either .The 1966 Ford 390 above was naturally carbed .I don't know the HP.Had 11 to 1 compression ratio pistons & a mild racing cam made for the street. Bacl then I could get leaded super premium Shell at 110 octane. This gas made a major difference in the performance.I drive a pure stock 4 cyl now.It runs a lot better on the regular unleaded we get now than a HP car. 22. Hi VanBuran: my fastest time on a MC was on a 1970 BSA 650 Lightening.I did not have a speedometor on the bike. But the speed was fast enough It was all I could do to keep the wind from blowing me off the bike.I weigh 190 lbs so it takes a lot of speed to get this much wind force. The BSA was a light MC for its size only 265LBS without the rider of course. Also it didn't have a windsheild or farring to block any wind. The broken foctory speedometer would have went to 150mph but someone decided to smash it with a hammer before I tried to ride it at top speed. Cholla
  23. Hi VanBuran : That is the point of this post.It is my hope that all members
  24. Hi all : This is another speed post topic in the spitit of what this site is all about. To get the fastest speed you can with the equipment & os you have.My system is dial-up so I seldom download better than this. So everyone post your speed here what ever it is.
  25. Hi all members: I am posting this as my part in putting out the fire that got started the other day.I have not been asked to do this by CA3LE but since two topics I posted added fuel to the fire.I decided to request that they be deleted from the forum. When it was flaming it did not help to add any more fuel to it.I would like to see the forum return to normal at least as normal as it was before. So CA3LE I would like to for you or one of the moderator to delete these two topics from the forum. To the moderators if you think you should ask CA3LE before doing this then ask him.The two topics are"testmy.net your site CA3LE so be the boss." &"Would like other members opinions of Cholla". I could have done this by personal message but I did not want anyone to think the posts had just been removed without a request from me. Cholla
