2200 including the tower? how high is it and how far are those cars parked away from it?

has it been faster before? if so call adlephia and complain. if not, go to the make it faster board in the forum and look at the sticky topics they tell you what info we need to help. and maybe call adelphia if you didn't see it faster before, just to be sure it's not on their end.

the problem is that even deleting the file will not necessarily solve the problem, as the memory resident part of the malware will likely just recreate it, sometimes even with a different name/location. some av's can detect but cannot remove certain ifections. best bet in this case is to either look at the av's diagnosis and id of the little critter and see if there is a removal program for exactly that critter available, or using a different av to see if that will get it.

nicest backup solution i've seen, wait, it's not a backup solution, it prevents you from having to do backups is a network attached storage system with 8 250 gig ide drives in a raid 5. actually only 7 drives are active, number 8 is in there in case one of the 7 fails so the system can recreate the failed drive on number 8, then you swap the failed drive out and that then becomes the standby. the loss in performance while the failed drive is recreated from the other drives in the array was measured by a computer mag as about 15 percent. so even while it's recovering from a drive failure the thing is still bloody fast. and the 7 drives in raid level 5 give it about 1150 gig capacity.

i wouldn't expect any signal loss from tower movement with the dish you have, since they don't have too tight a beam and are therefore quite forgiving. as for the laser, nothing like boosting output and dropping bisected birds into your yard from time to time...

well, if you have half a gig of 3200 in it now, lose that and add the 2 gigs of 4000. if the board supports it you can always stick the 512 in bank 3 and 4 at 3200. and pretty much any gig sticks that run at 4000 will do, just be sure to buy 2 of the same for the dual channel to work.
