It did take some refinement, but we American's finally tweaked up that language some. It has some flavor now.

Hughes.net/Direcway Upload Speeds.
tommie gorman replied to tommie gorman's topic in HughesNet (DIRECWAY)
That is not a bad U/L for a 6000 kol. Do you ever just test with the 579 test file, instead of the smart test? I think my best ever was a 128 kbps. -
I think the only way you can get any upload is with the 7000. Like 200kbps is really any type of upload, and with the satelite signal lag. It might also be what bird you are connected to. Your not on AMC 9 are you. And my speed test are always in the early morning, that makes some difference. As far as the gold part, that is true. Just finding that little thing makes all the difference. What type and how old is your comp? What type of Anti Virus are you running? Are you on a wireless router?

(8:44am) (11:35am) It was partly the time of day.

One hint pimpin818p4l, I always test with the 2992 FIle Test myself, not the Smart Test.

deven have you tried the reverands settings with the TCP Optimizer. Just follow the instructions word for word. And use the preset settings on the top attacment. The first post. It has helped some on Direcway. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-1703

You mean home of the geek squad? And how many close compusa's are there. My closest is like 45-50 minutes away. For PC I am 5-10 minutes away.

Nice toys VanBuren. Does not sound bad for that bike. So what does "somewhat waterproof" actually mean. Would he actuallly let you drop it in a glass of water to test it?

when telemarketing turns ugly...
tommie gorman replied to resopalrabotnick's topic in General Discussion
Here's a new one I heard of from EWO. When you get a call that is computer talking instead of a person, just hit the # button til it disappears. Supposed to remove you from their list. Even if it does not work, I feel better. And if a person answers, say just a minute and set the phone down. -

when telemarketing turns ugly...
tommie gorman replied to resopalrabotnick's topic in General Discussion
I can't really blame him. When you are in the shower and your wife is out with the kids, you run out of the shower to only find a telemarketer. Yeah, it pisses me the heck off. It should be illegal. I have been known to be almost as bad. -

Anyone else been "boosted"?
tommie gorman replied to Thisismyname's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
You know it would be nice if Hughes.net found out what an upgrade meant. Like the other ISP's have done. *choke* Without new equipment like the 7000. But it still beats dial-up D/L.
