  1. Man I feel for the employees. On the 4th of July. And I doubt I will be watching on that day.
  2. If I had to do a back to the beginning restore point, I would porbably just do a reformat. only takes 3-4 hrs. and runs clean again. Would I have to start all over with my e-mail setup if I redid the Outlook express? (call my ISP and new e-mail address)? If so I guess I am looking at a reformat!
  3. Pretty much sums it up. It is a PC world. Mac is a brand name, and pc is a type of many name brands. Which will be more familiar to maintain and get parts for.
  4. i had a 70 Chevelle which threw the rear driveshaft u-joint 75 miles from the nearest town. I was not worried at all. I just packed up, stuck my thumb out and went to the nearest town and came back and changed it. Newer cars require too much to fix. After 1972 cars got complicated in the engine dept. Older ones not as modern were also much simpler, and parts are everywhere. And not near as expensive. My preference is old or new. And prior to 1972 about all that is required is a PCV valve for emissions. Much cheaper and simpler. RX-7's are fairly fast, they rev very high, with their rotary engines. Been known to hit 10,000 on the street, and will eat a Datsun Z alive. What is (the 4th gen models)?
  5. So you Brit's don't have any celebration's about the country, the people, and it's history? Just the Queen? Pass the Jack. I'd celebrate with you.
  6. OK, I used to not get e-mail inbound. Contacted Hughes.net ISP who gotmy inbound e-mail working. Which I now cannot send out e-mail. When recontacting my ISP they replied it was a microsoft issue. I contacted my comp. tech support (e-machines) who said it was a restore point to the beginning issue(that I would lose all files). I asked about it being a microsoft issue, and they said it would not hurt. 7. Pretty much like a 6000 with double the upload.
  8. famously_infamous could you make sure what your advertised speeds are. "Earthlink, i believe it should be 5 Mbps" At least we doubled your speeds, but not enough though.
  9. So it took 230 years to decide that Roco? Taxes had to be raised over the lost Tea revenue then? Name the time and place.
  10. I have it scheduled to run at 5:00 AM. Is it necessary to have your comp. on to run when I am away? I always turn it off when I am done. So I got to thinking that it probably is not running when I am gone. Probably a big DUH question.
  11. I was going to wait, but what the heck. Have a safe and fun one everyone. 230th. Still a young nation.
  12. I don't believe these are true, if it is taken from speed tests. My D/L is much higher, and my U/L is much lower. http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/host_stats.php?host=direcpc.com&notboolean=1 http://www.testmy.net/tools/database/s_engine.php?type=user_name&q=tommie+gorman
  13. Sleep as late as you can before attempting this.
  14. Try creating something intriguing. I am not sure what, but something like a prodgect that will keep your mind busy. You can waste an hour easily. Try getting something that you can count down how close you are getting. Like coins or something. One item for each hour needed. Eliminate one for each hour gone. The first twp days are easy.
  15. The coffee will make you feel like crap, piss alot, and so forth. The caffeine pills will not bother you near as much. And find something very entertaining. The forum will help some. And I mean really entertaining. It has got to keep your attention. Who and how will they know if you make it?
  16. A little flicker. Is that it? What did it used to be used for?
  17. The nodoz and vivran will not give you as bad effects as coffee will. I am not sure about the energy drink. I used to get about 1 hour sleep every night while I was in tech school during military. About 2 months straight. Out partying. I did pretty well til I slept through a very hot date one time. I woke up at 6 Am and was pissed.
  18. Number 1 the boredom will bore you badly. Second go buy some Vivran if you can still get them. They will work better! Second the extra days will not even be worth it.
