I live in a place just 5 miles north of Liberty, home of Jesse James first Daylight Bank Robbery. Which is just 21.38 miles north of Kansas City MO. Which is the land of the World Champion KC Royals and the KC Chiefs. But where I live it is peaceful on 2 acres where that is a small place. Some of my neighbors have 1,000's of acres. But if I could get a little over 10 I would be just fine. My kids love it, and I do not have to worry about them getting run over, or being exposed to the inner city life. I also do have bon fires and legal fireworks whenever I wish. Yep, Green Acres.

I am not sure what you are getting charged, but try paying $59.95 per month and having to pay like $600 for the equipment, and then having to pay an installer even more. For 700kbps. advertised speeds. Personally I am jealous. But you have your rights also. So go ahead and rant. Enjoy.

Diagnosis is figured for everybody on btcentralplus on average. No matter what there package is. So like echo said, it depends more on what your advertised speeds are by your provider.

I don't believe you are supposed to be doing that. Come on now. You know that if you are really uncapping a modem, that there is jail time involved, and that your ISP will find out before you know it.

The first links are things to clean it up. Remove virus's, spyware, defrag your hard drive, clean out you registry, and such. You should have a clean computer to make sure you are getting any help from the cablenut settings. Also if you do the cablenut first, you may not think you have not done anything. But the dirty comp gets in the way. As far as the 2992kb goes, just click on the "Largest - 2992 kB" and use it instead. It will give your computer time to warm up some for the test. Giving a better if not faster speed result. And make sure to clean out your cache first, before testing. Top of your screen*Tools*internet options*delete cookies*delete files including offline content*OK*OK* test. If you are going to be pasting your scores, just clean out your files.

It looks great to me. But anything except dial-up looks great. At least it is over advertised speeds. And yes, some do go over advertised speeds, and some don't. on my satelite connection I get about 1030 kbps on an advertised 700 kbps. And if I remember correctly, DSL usually does not improve much over advertised speeds. Like I said, it looks great.

Also on another note, sometimes it is difficult to have as much time as is necessary. I might be helping 4 or 5 others at the same time. And sometimes it is necessary to look something up. But usually I will stop my normal chit chat sessions to try and give it my full attention. And I also have my good days, and my bad days. I just hope it is my good days that stand out. To start with I am a simple user that only knows how to do general maintenance. Maybe a little more. And most times I will try to make it simple. You can ask anyone I have helped. And there are times when someone I am helping that is new, is likely offended because they actually know more than i will ever know. But I try to anyway, or refer them to someone. Yes, sometimes it is a hilarious question. But I try to recompose myself and try to help this person quickly. My actual computer knowledge just started when I joined this forum last Fall. Also when I first started here, I was not afraid to ask questions. And if I made them laugh, well alls good. Maybe i have a decent sense if humor, maybe not. Is there a particular instance for this?
