yes it should as my friend is testing the linksys wrt54g with 12dbi directional antenna's and it makes a huge difference is speed and distance.

i'll hook up my router when i have some time to and test wireless VS wired and show you exactly what you would get if you had the wrt54g. you should see the same results as me joeandjan cause you have the same package as me so wait till i post back results before you buy a router unless you really need it.

why are the pings so much higher? i think you will get lower speeds with ipv6

i think they are in the process of upgrading your area and thats why you see the download upgrade but not the upload. i'm not sure if the upgrade is 2/16 or 1/16 but we''ll see soon wont we.

i get on average about 24 to 26 most of the time but off peak i can get 30 and i always get atleast 1700 up which is great for $45 a month. the basic plan for optimum is 2000 up and 15000 down so maybe you should try optimum again for $30 a month promotion deal and keep both to compare it and see which 1 you like best. you get a few more options with boost which is the package i have so check it out.
