  1. where can i find the most current VanBuren's cablenut settings?
  2. damn thats nice .. great speeds for that low price
  3. yea.. nice upload.. i guess it compensates for the download speed
  4. just get a free dns name from sites such as DyDns or whatever else u can find.. Some even have programs so they update the IP that the domain name you selected leads to (if your IP changes, the program reports your new IP so that the name domain still works).. That way you will also get an actual name for your server - not just IP #s
  5. maybe u keep on saying that so ppl use IE, get spyware and visit testmy.net... makes sense now
  6. If you are on the 1mbps internet package, those speeds are pretty close to the best ones you can get.. I don't think you can get any closer to your download cap than that
  7. i prefer visual styles just because they don't include all the useless stuff.. just simple xp transforming, without all the extra toolbars and programs
  8. i tried its server, but i cannot configure it.. it does not ask me about IP# or port, directories to share, etc... It just starts and says it cannot connect to server (that is the FileZilla Server)
  9. Has anyone else checked out CrystalXP.net's visual styles? I just installed them and patched my system with the UX patcher so they work and they look great.. Anyone else using those visual styles from this great website?
  10. i don't think it is the ISPs because my internet goes back to normal after i turn off my router for a couple of minutes
  11. i don't like to try them one by one but rather to trust users who have already tried and evaluated it
  12. my router dropped my connection again even with the new cables .. maybe its something from the router..
  13. maybe its the cables or a line quality problem but i guess they would've checked the line the first time...
  14. Not [glow=red,2,300]:::.. Download Stats ..:::[/glow] .. [glow=blue,2,300]:::.. Upload Stats ..:::[/glow] pls.. U can test it here
  15. if u could post upload or tell us ur advertised speeds, it would be great
  16. Do you know of any good, [glow=red,2,300]FREE[/glow] ftp server programs? Thanks for any replies
  17. i had a similar problem where with use of most bandwidth of the internet line, my router would just stop working.. i changed the cable that connects the modem to the router and for a couple of days, my internet is fine (no disconnections).. since your internet speed drops and comes back up, maybe its something with the hardware or cables.. have u tried leaving the router off for a couple of hours and then seeing what the speeds are?
  18. sometimes my connecting cables get too hot or something and they stop my internet connection from working by screwing up my router.. have u turned the router off and let it cool for a couple of minutes?
  19. im fine myself with 384kbps upload.. i wouldn't refuse a higher upload speed, but im not that jealous of ppl with higher uploads
  20. tests have to be simultaneously run then (combined)
  21. im thinking of getting the aiw 9600xt but not for gaming.. just work and video capturing.. hope its agp works
  22. I have the RADEON 7000 series video card (pretty old, I know but please no suggestions about what new cards to buy ).. I cannot enable AGP for it however.. It is plugged in my AGP port I believe and I am pretty sure it is plugged in correctly because I had it assembled by the store where I bought it from . I've updated to the latest BIOS version for my motherboard, but no option is available to turn on AGP or to specify the AGP acceleration number (2x/4x - mine goes up to 4x only ).. Is there any other way to do it or a tutorial for the ASUS P4P800-X motherboard? Thanks for any replies in advance
