  1. Whatever.. Pure [move][glow=red,2,300]BS[/glow][/move].. My intel 2.4A GHz runs at 47 degrees celsius on 100% cpu utilization (when running folding@home at 100 percent).. Normal temp is about 40.. I have seen Intels that run at 60, but AMDs usually run over 50 so tell me something that is true.. That temp (47 degrees at 100% cpu for 2 days) is just with a processor fan and psu fan.. No other cooling systems or 80mm ball bearing fans
  2. lol.. most are competent cuz i think they have to pass a test with the company before they get hired
  3. at least they'll send a person to investigate it and maybe fix whatever the problem is
  4. maybe forum server is busy.. it gets better after you wait a couple of minutes and some ppl get off the forum tired of seeing that message
  5. pretty accurate results from me.. about 50 kbps only under testmy.net average
  6. start -> run -> cmd -> tracert testmy.net [press enter and relax until its time to copy the results]

  11. very nice post.. could be useful to a whole bunch of ppl
  12. pretty good idea.. and maybe we can have a chart for the ISP that got the most cumulative points, so ppl can see which ISP most of the users like, so maybe they can make a better choice when searching for one
  13. It usually reboots by itself when a blue screen pops up, but on default, XP hides the blue screen and reboots the pc automatically.. Right click My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery section Settings -> Uncheck Automatically Restart in System Failure section.. Next time something goes wrong, XP will show the blue screen and then u can restart your pc manually.. If a blue screen pops up, note what its saying and if its possible, post it here so we can analyze it .. As for the loading pc when opening files or music, it could be just the indexing service that basically indexes the files so when u use the search function, it completes faster.. If you defrag your hdd, it will probably be faster.. It could be also like that because of an old XP installation (if you haven't done a fresh install lately).. I had an XP installation once that restarted explorer.exe all by itself.. Try the thing with the blue screen and defragging your harddrive and post back here
  14. have u ever gotten the same message after that incident? it could've been caused by unstable system components as well as inadequate power supply..
  15. How can I enable Java for FF? I tried through the Java thingy in Control Panel, but whenever I try to apply the Mozilla Java plugin, the Java control panel or whatever it is called says that I have no Mozilla/Netscape installed or it is installed improperly.. I installed Firefox in the default folder (program files).. Any ideas how to make this work so I can use the Java plugin in FF? Edit: Some Java applets work in FF, but for example on pogo.com, the game windows do not load even without ad block.. Does pogo.com not support FF?
  16. if you want to test their max speed, nero has a function built-in to test all drives' speed (including cd-rw, dvd-rw, etc).. if you go to File -> Preferences -> Cache , you can test the drives' speed there.. if that is not what you meant by benchmarking, then what do you want to test the hdds for?
