  2. they are simply 2 different processors from two different manufacturers - pentium 4 is intel and the athlon is amd produced - i hope this is the explenation you are looking for
  3. i dont think its a mistake.....i was browsing few websites to see how much these 2gig modules sell for, and while they are not extremely expensive - people list that companies such as dell/apple would charge 5,6 times that price - so they would end up selling 2 gig module for $1500+ ...i wouldnt be surprised if this price is an actual price

  6. i wouldnt sell that...they money you could get for it probably wouldnt be what you wanted.....id keep it and play around with it experiment...thats usually what i do with older computers like that
  7. shop for prices bit more and you will get 450 i wasnt far off either way
  8. well considering that you can get yourself a new computer with similar specs for not over 450 - the most id pay for that one is no more than 300

  13. this is the best that i can overclock my system - after this, temperature becomes a big problem - i am expecting to get new much better cooling (cry0 !?...if it ever comes out) and push it even more - my ram is capable of more and so is my cpu - ive tested.... i run 2.75ghz 24/7 (stock vcore) - but this is my max stable o/c ive recorded so far

  16. some hard drives have a number of pins in the back that have to be shorted out accordingly - i have a samsung hard drive, and it was only seeing 40GB out of 80GB - when i shorted out the correct pins in the back, it saw the full size ...that is most likely the problem here

  25. by all means go with a new format - many times just replacing the motherboards wont work, plus its great to get rid of all the junk
