  2. You can have one too http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=149342.
  3. Lol, you think they wouldn't notice you going into their house and putting in a router?
  4. Yea, tomorrow I'm gonna rearrange my partitions, delete the ones with the old xp on it and then redistribute the free space.
  5. I reinstalled and got all my files.
  6. Any recommendation for an enclosure that fits 2 sata II drives?
  7. Yea, I've had 2 matx powmax's die on me in my mcpc. I'd start saving for a new power supply so you've got the money as soon as the current one dies.
  8. Ha, now I've got like 5 xp choices when I boot up.
  9. Yea it allready did, so I decided to just reinstall on a new partition.
  10. Can't boot into anything, can't get into recovery console so Im reinstaling windows.
  11. K, I'll give that a shot.
  12. I've been trying out Suse Linux for awhile now and overall am pretty fond of it, but theres a problem. I am no longer able to boot into xp . I need to access some files on the windows partition, but I can't get into windows. I get to grub then the suse screen where I have the choices of suse 10, windows 1, and suse 10 failsafe. I choose windows 1 and it gives me the load with last known configuration, safe mode etc. I have tried all of them and like a second after I hit enter the computer restarts, no windows logo or anything. I thought it could be an oc problem so I reset everything back to default. I had a problem before when I couldn't load windows beause it said something was corrupt but that problem fixed itself. I really need to get into xp, any help?
  13. ATX is a motherboard form factor, I think most common. If you have an atx motherboard you need an atx power supply (generally) also you need a case that supports atx. Edit: and as for just grabbing old psu out of computers in the garage that might not even work anymore, you could end up right back where you are now in a few months because most likely the power supplies in those computers are proprietary.
  14. Just rummaging thru my spare component box and found a 400 watt antec model sl400. If you are interested, and pay shipping, I could send it to you. I'm not sure if the sl400 is that great of a model, but Antec in general is a good brand.
  15. This is a relatively good priced power supply imo, it has lasted me thru 3 computers, is very quiet which is a must, and can power all of my stuff. (opteron 148 at 2.9ghz, 2 320gig sataII, 1 160gig ide, 1 gig of ram, cd-rw,6600gt) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817159023 For less than 40 bucks I'd say I made a great investment buying this about 2 and a half years ago, the fact that it is still running great is amazing.
  16. If your motherboard does support it, what are the benefits vs. a motherboard with ddr ram? I think a lot of dell pcs use ddr2, is it cheaper?
  17. Word of advice never use the power supply that comes with the case.
  18. Better hope one roomate doesn't hog all the bandwidth. But with 30/5 theres tons to share.
  19. A bit off topic, but I've got a question about external hardrives. I've got 2 320 gig wd sataII hardrives right now but they are both full. Unfortunately my motherboard only has 2 sata ports and I like the speed of sata so I would like to add more. Do you have any recommendation for external enclosures for sataII drives?(maybe on that could fit both drives, I'd also like the sacrifice the least speed possible, would usb 2 be best?)
