  15. Have you tried running it without the progress bar?
  16. Did a little research and tried some programs and right now im using cdex, and ripping with flac. Each file is like 20-30megs but the quality is great.
  17. I'm going to begin the process of copying all of my cd's to my hardrive so I can put them on my mp3 player. Question is what is the best program for doing this? I know I could use wmp, but is there anything better out there that will give me quality. (I don't mind paying for it if it is going to give me much better quality than something free) As far as formats go I still haven't decided, my mp3 player supports a lot, mp3, ogg, flac, wma, and wav. Right now I'm leaning toward flac.
  18. Try disabling bitdefender when testing.
  19. Gotcha. So what are you working with? Both stock pc's? Are you planning to just switch cpu's or bring the whole motherboard along with it?
  20. Welcome to testmy.net . Are you running cablenut right now? I'm assuming you are in Jamaica, is this true? If it is, then this could explain some of the speed loss but you still should be able to tweak and get it faster. Also is your computer clean of viruses and spyware?
  21. If your using stock motherboards be careful before swapping cpu's even if they are the same socket. As far as performance goes, you should notice your computer is a bit faster with 3ghz vs 2.6ghz. Research and make sure everything is compatable, then if it is make the swap.
