  1. What model iMac is it... what year? Do you have any other computers on the network?
  2. Please post more details... like operating system and connection details (what speeds should you get).
  3. I took the time to add this to the current site for the time being. Thought I'd let you know... but I'm pretty sure it's easy to notice -Damon
  4. WOW, crazy speeds man. I thought my connection was fast. And You're Welcome
  5. Oh... they also hacked into the skin cache for the board... it's recached and the code is gone. I'll keep looking further. cache permissions are now locked... IPB should really do this automatically IMO. Because after IPB creates the cached skin files it leaves them with permissions of 777, oh well.
  6. Okay... well I had some insecure permissions and someone did get in and add an iFrame to the sites pages. This has been corrected as well as the permissions. For those of you that saw this error could you please check and make sure it's cleared. I hope to god I don't have to talk to Microsoft or something. I totally forgot to change some permissions. I'll be scanning the sites source for anything else... I may even revert the file structure over to a backup from a few days ago. Sorry about that guys, thanks for letting us know. This was very important. Like ON FIRE. -Damon
  7. actually.. the problem is geniue... the site was hacked... give me a minute. I already know exactly what's happened.
  8. Yeah, you MAY need help. Cox.net has a wide array of connection speeds. The hosts averages are taken from the last 30 days of tests taken from a given host. So on average Cox users are about 65% faster than what you're getting... but if you're paying for the lowest package they offer then you may be doing okay. So what package are you paying for? -D
  9. I'm currently working on a new design. The future pages will show a more noticeable message if you aren't logged in. Also the links to the tests will be larger and more in your face. I have launched three new domain names where I'm housing the new site project... if you go to the project site there is a little info on the premise behind why I'm working this off-site. TestMbps.com - theuploadtest.com - thedownloadtest.com So stay tuned... lots of stuff on the horizon. - Damon
  10. Well I can tell you this much, the server is running optimally. The Planet, where the server is hosted did send me this on the 25th... Now, it's not supposed to effect my server. But it may be effecting the route to my server. The Planet is no doubt already on top of this, that's why I host with them. My traceroute has a hop in there that looks a little stressed (12). 12. That is weird. But you signed back in and didn't lose anything, right? Did you think it had something to do with the Tom Gorman account?? I read the whole thread but am still lost... ahhhh -D
  13. I jealous. I want one so bad. I have the money to get one right now but I think I may just get an SSD and some other upgrades for my mini. My display right now is 25.5" 1920x1200 -- it's pretty awesome but that 27" iMac display is amazing. Something so awesome that it literally CAN NOT be appreciated unless you see it with your own eyes... the resolution is unreal. I'm still debating getting one right away but I think I'll at least wait for a standard internal BluRay burner. The resolution doesn't really sound like that big of a difference does it guys? Well let me put this in perspective... Donnovan now has 3,686,400 pixels in front of his face I have 2,034,000 pixels That's about 1.7 MILLION more pixels... and I have a bad ass monitor and the iMac's screen size is only 1.5in larger than mine. Blows my mind. And if you see it with your own eyes you'll understand. No pictures you can see online or on TV could ever do it justice because chances are what you'd be viewing the information about the iMac on a display that isn't capable of showing it off properly. Apple has come a long way. You lucky son of a... Congrats dude, I want one YESTERDAY! -D
  14. I saw that on the homepage the other day but I didn't know it was really playable, lol.

  16. Very nice, I just moved to Awatukee myself and have been using Qwest Fiberoptic 40/20. You're like right down the street from me. Internet is plentiful here for sure. You definitely got me beat on the download. But I spoke with a Qwest fiber tech the other day who told me that in August they will be offering 100/60 for the same price I'm paying. That's friggen insane. Imagine if you will, a world where everyone holds a Gigabit + internet connection in their pocket... It will happen eventually. Here's my logged stats... If you see stats below 35Mbps down and 13Mbps up they are most likely me testing off of various laptops and mobile devices that come through my home. I own this site so I always like to see how the tests perform on every internet connected device I come across... and of course it's good to know what some of these devices can do. Let me know if you'd ever like to write any tech related articles or reviews for testmy.net. -D
  17. That's cable?!? Windows NT with firefox huh? anything else on the network before the computer... router, switch?
  18. That's nice that they're going to double your speed for only 5 more bucks. Cable companies are for the most part good to their customers and usually deliver (at least in all my experiences) higher speeds than they advertise. And I've been running testmy.net in one form or another since 1999 and I worked for Cox Communications for 5 years. So I've seen the broadband industry with a magnifying glass... Cable companies always come out on top because of the bandwidth potential of coax. But the advent of fiber to the home may force the cable companies to rethink their strategy. Only time will tell. -D
  19. Is the proxy YOURS or is it one that your ISP makes you run through?

  22. I'm going to have to make a special forum here for Qwest Fiber... it's insane guys! I'm not getting the full speed but it's cool because I still have more than enough bandwidth open for doing other shit while stuff is downloading in the background.
