Bad ass, I'll have to check that out. I was planning on buying a base model then upgrading it to SSD and 4GB ram (I've heard that some people have put up to 8GB in them but Apple doesn't officially support it). I've seen they have a model with two hard drives, I wonder does that mean that I can install an SSD and leave the original drive in there as storage then run the system off the SSD? I need to see if there is mounting available in the base model for the 2nd drive though... otherwise I'll just run storage externally. So they come pretty much brand new?

I'm workin on it... I can see myself making allot more posts in this new system, I'm lovin it! Well, I don't play games on my computers anymore... I use my PS3 for that these days. I really don't know what the least is that I'll take for it, haven't really given it that much thought yet, I'll let you know after I think about it. And they do have one that's affordable... the Mac Mini, check it out... This is what I may be getting until I can afford the Mac Pro (then use the mac mini for a living room media computer).... from the looks of that video it looks like it should perform for what I need it for.

Will you guys disown me if I get a mac? I'm kinda sold on them, I'm so sick of PC-BS. And I think for they type of work that I do (freelance web design and programming) it's much better for me. I'm sorry and as much as it pains me to admit it... OSX is superior to Windows. Plus it seems like Apple's hardware and software function together perfectly, they were made for each other. So wierd because I have the same CPU and I haven't put a AC cooler on this yet and my temp runs at about 34*C-42*C (OEM heatsink and fan) but I also have it in a Zalman GS1000 case, lots of airspace and a killer layout for cooling. I'm sure you already looked into dust being the issue but if you haven't you should look into that, sometimes dust will cake onto the fins or fan and insulate it from doing it's job properly. I would have put a better cooler on this already but the OEM is doing a great job for me, plus I plan on getting an i7 soon as I can so I don't want to put money into something I'll be getting rid of anyways. -D

Oh, and make sure that you use silver or ceramic thermal compound on whatever new CPU cooler you get. It does make a difference in the heat transfer from the CPU to the cooler. --- Make sure that you also clean off the old shit well. That one is good... but I know from first hand experience with more than one computer that the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro is the shiiiiit. With some setups I've used it on the CPU has run as cool as 1-3* above ambient temperature. This thing is so efficient that one one computer I used it on I ran it without the fan and the CPU didn't break 98*F idle and like 110*F under load. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186134 It's pretty sweet. And it has Fluid Dynamic bearings so it's silent... AC makes some of the most quiet fans around. And personally I like my computer to shut up and let me do the talkin'. -D
