  2. This should be fixed now, I've been doing updates all morning.
  3. Is anyone playing with Windows 7? I HIGHLY reccommend trying it out. It's a RC but I've been playing with it for about a week and have had NO problems. It runs like a dream. It's like what Vista should have been Although I have a powerful system (A Phenom II X3 with 8GB RAM and a Radeon HD4870 with 1GB GDDR5) it seems like Windows 7 prioritizes it's tasks more efficiently. One thing that I can reccommend doing to speed things up a little more is to set the Affinity on your anti-virus and some other processes to specific cores to leave processing power available to applications that you're using (this of course only works with multi-core systems) But god damn, CHEERS to MS... this is the most stable RC that I've ever tried. It looks stunning as well. And I'm really diggin' some of the new ideas they've implemented. Very cool. Give me your thoughts.. If you'd like to try out the Release Candidate for Windows 7 Microsoft will be open for anyone who wants to give it a whirl through this month I believe... go to >> http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx
  4. Sorry about that. There was something wrong with mySQL. I've fixed the error. I was also updating a couple security holes, I'm all finished right now though. Thank you for the error report - D

  8. Below is a message sent to me from a new member 'try2blucid' -- Could you guys who are more familiar with satellite connections please point him in the right direction. Have you looked into HughesNet? (http://www.hughes.com/) It's gotta be pretty awesome living in such a remote area. At least I think so, especially Baja... but then again I'm an ATV, 4X4 and dirt bike freak. The downside is your choices in broadband. I'm posting this as a thread in our forum for you, this way not only will you be helped to make a more informed decision but future visitors to the site will be as well. Also, within a month or so I'll be announcing a new section to the site which will cover customer testimonials on ISPs. People will be able to search for ISPs in various ways and get feedback on service providers from our members. I'm still putting this together but I'm sure as soon as I get the system in place to start taking reviews from our members it will fill up with testimonials very fast. Good luck and WELCOME! -D
  9. Sorry about the little bit of downtime this morning. One of the server access logs had become too large and needed a good purging... sometimes when curtain logs like the suPHP_log get too large apache freaks out and throws errors that really don't make sense for what the problem is. My error_log was showing "premature end of script headers" and 500 internal server error was showing publically. Guess I shouldn't let that log get that big, 2GB suexec log is a little retarded . Sorry again - Damon
  10. Thanks guys... love the cake by the way
  11. Well, I'm back home. Been home for a little while now but I've been trying to catch up a bunch of crap so I haven't had too much computer time. I was gone for like three months or so. I was all over the place, like 4 cities and towns in CO then I hit up Cali visiting Brentwood, San Diego, Napa Valley, Lake Elsinore, San Francisco. It was pretty nuts. Anyways, just wanted to let you all know I'm back in black... I meant to get a bunch of stuff done yesterday and today but I've been crazy busy on the back end of the server, fixing a couple security issues that someone exploited while I was away. This is why some of you may have noticed that email notifications have been intermittent since early yesterday. My EXIM server was being flooded by hundreds of thousands of random emails. A great bulk of my time was taken up working with my DNS and MX entries, the confusion arose because I moved the TMN email over to google (using Google Apps).. which is friggen awesome by the way, buuuuut this site uses allot of sendmail and google's deal only allows 500 outgoing messages per day (per account) so there's no way I could use that. But I had a little dilemma, my MX entries were now pointing to googles servers which in turn screwed up my sendmail function and SMTP. But I finally got it cleared up to where the server can send out it's messages while still serving the rest of my mail needs off google's servers. Only one little problem I have to deal with now... the server can't send messages to any testmy.net email addresses... but I'm pretty sure I can fix that with 'postfix'. So yeah, that was tons of SSH fun -- the gmail deal is pretty awesome, even branded with TMN's logo... http://gmail.testmy.net/ (the DNS may not be propagated yet for that URL, if so you can see it here >> http://mail.google.com/a/testmy.net/ ). ttyl later! -D
  12. Server went down for a little bit, I was out when it happened but I now have it fixed. I still need to look into the logs and see what caused the crash but all that matters at this point is that it's back online. From the initial look of things I think that there was a spike in traffic that caused a mysql crash and then once that crashed the server was overloaded by requests. All I now at the moment is that a database table crashed in the mix and once my attention had been drawn to the problem the whole server was down and couldn't be reached by DNS or IP. Sorry about that again. -D
  13. Naw, just swipe a card and it's $0.20/min, lol -- was only on for like 4-5 mins. var drive was full and mysql crashed, I put a cronjob in that is supposed to clean up tmp shit so that never happens but I entered the wrong command in the crontab, it's all good now
  14. Sorry about the little bit of downtime today, the issue has been resolved. I'm currently out of town, in a small town and had a hard time getting internet connection today, but I found a fedex so I used one of their computers to take care of it. See you all later, -D - Owner/Admin
  15. there was a bug a while back.... but it should be fixed... try doing a 25+MB test and let me know
  16. go into your profiles and change your theme to the new one titled "CA3LE" if you liked it.... a bunch of mods are talking shit to me after my hard work.
  17. I hope you guys like the new look of the forum... many new features as I'm sure you'll notice. Look to the main menu for all the forum links that you were used to getting inset. Let me know what you guys think, for now.... I'm tired! -Damon
  18. Yeah, I've been workin on SEO for like the past 30 hours, haha -- sitemaps and such. There is an XML download at the bottom of that page and a 2nd XML for WAP 2.0... then a 3rd sitemap is in the root that the server is now set to auto generate, I think I set that cron to once a day. Anyways, it should give the spiders a better idea of the site layout. -- and our users. -D
