  1. DAMN IT! I recoreded the finale tonight, I've been following it since the first episode (i've been watching since last season, I was so pissed that the stupid ass won.. ehhhhh). I've been cheering Jordan Sparks on since the auditions (I knew that she was going to win.. but then again I knew last year that Katharine McPhee was going to win but she came in second... GOD I was pissed off, I was seriously in love with that chick from the first moment I saw/heard her.. and she lost to that pepper haired cerebral palsy mofo..... I'm still mad about those results ... okay, I'm sorry about the cerebral palsy crack, but seriously WTF is wrong with him, and don't say "he has soul." because soul may make you 'get down' but it doesn't make you act like a retard)... SO, I'm pissed because I recorded it on DVR, I go to play it back and the video gets to a part when a bunch of people are singing 'Beatles Sargent Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band' or something and the friggen video stops!!! I'm assuming right before the final results. GRRRRR, I go to the American Idol website and they aren't showing the results yet... it just says "WATCH THE FINALE!" --- I go to Fox's website and the same shit... I try to Google it and nothing. I guess it's just too soon. .. now maybe they showed the results in the middle of the show or something (I played the show in the background while I was doing some work) I fast forwarded and didn't see anything that looked like a results thing and plus it's Americal Idol style to hold out till the last second. BAH! So anyway, can someone clue me in on the winner? Did my girl win or what?!? She better have won because she totally deserved to win, Blake is cool and all but between the two Jordan is a much better singer (though I totally think that Blake is a much better artist and I know that we're going to see some dope ass shit from him in the future... I actually think it would be better for his future career if he didn't win.) WHO WON!?!?! AHHH, damn DVR bug! -D
  2. shout boxes get abused... bad. I've never put one up but I would imagine people would put anything from really bad messages as jokes to ADs for bullshit... I know that if I was trying to scam up some traffic for something less than ledgit I would think about exploiting something like that, especially if the site allowed links in the shoutbox. I've seen them.. I've ran the idea in my mind... but I just don't think it will work out well with as much traffic as the site gets. The more traffic... the more that people want to target you. Thanks for the idea though.. .please keep them coming. -D
  3. wow, I thought mine was awesome.... I'm adding a larger test size in the next 48 hours... once that's added you should test with it and post your score again... look for it, I'll have a notice on the front page when it's online. -This goes for the upload test also, -D
  4. Wow, that day sounded kick ass --- makes me want to go to a game, I haven't been to one in a looooong ass time... too long, always a friggen great time. -D
  5. I just buy everything from NewEgg, even if it's a little more expensive... just to keep all my records on one site, make it easy at the end of the year for my writeoffs, I write off a ton of computer equiptment every year for the site and for computers I've sold.
  6. Oh, I also ran a speed test and actually got the best score I've ever got.. lol, I'm really not seeing the problem you were talking about, lol.
  7. me either.... has anyone had problems besides him? It may be your isp, they may be routing you through some crappy route, like a route that has a piece of bad hardware somewhere in the mix. Problems like this are out of my hands but usually are fixed by the at fault ISP within a week. Paste us your trace, go to [start] then click on 'run' and type CMD (in vista type 'cmd' in the text box on the start menu). Then type... tracert testmy.net after it's finished tracing paste it here... cut and paste in with command console is a little weird, you need to right click and select 'select all' then hit the [enter] key to copy the text... then just paste it here like normal. Could you also do an extended ping for me and paste it here, you will run the command in the command console just like the other command I gave you, the ping command I would like you to run is... ping testmy.net -n 30 also run it on our other server... ping s2.testmy.net -n 30 that command will ping the servers 30 times, depending on what the problem is doing 10 or more pings will usually show major fluctuation if theres a problem somewhere along the line... again, depending on what the problem is. 8. I just sent you a PM, check your inbox and we'll get to the bottom of your problem. The problem is isolated though because you're the only having problems. -D
  9. When I optimize the databases and do my weekly maintenence tonight I'll be weeding out any bad mirrors, sry about that... sometime people take them down and don't tell me. Most of the time they send me a friendly PM though. I have two or three new mirrors to add tonight also. -D
  10. here's an ASUS one that's pretty pimp, I like the heatsink. But I can personally vouche for the ATI one... and the heatsink that's on that one does the job and is very quiet. >> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121049 (ASUS's version of the x1950 pro) -D
  11. Go with ATI !!!! Screw nVidia, personally on my desktop computer I have a Radeon x1950 pro and I've tried to max it out and havn't been able to (unless I use a benchmarking program, games and applications haven't been able to max it out yet). And if that's not enough for you then you can use crossfire to tie two of them together (ATI's version of SLI) but of course you'd need a motherboard that supports that. Here is the one that I own... I highly reccommend it, and for only $220 if you ask me it's a steal, especially since it's name brand >> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814195029
  12. good luck on hitting 27 It's all good, test as much as you need... that's why I never put any cap on how much you can test... but if you're eating that much of my bandwidth I hope you've at least told one person about the site -- haha
  13. this is a cool idea... I wouldn't want to disagree anyhow, I'd get cut off.. hahaha
  14. SUPPORT testmy.net!!!
  15. hey.. how about you guys test from HERE. What are you guys doing? Don't you like testmy.net? -D
  16. I personally like Microsoft's 'Windows Defender' teamed with IE7. It blocks about 99.8% of the popups on all my computers... every now and then one gets through but that will happen with any of those programs. Windows Defender isn't a dedicated popup blocker but it does do that also, along with it's main goal of keeping your computer free of spyware, adware and other threats (if you don't already know it's the final version of the old Microsoft Antispyware... it's just a better and quieter version, meaning it doesn't bug you as much with questions). You can get Windows Defender at Microsoft's website a direct link is at >> http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx (there is a download link on that page... you may want to read more about it on that page also). Note (pirates beware...arrrgh!): You must have a geniune copy of Windows. And as I said, it works best when you team it up with IE7 (Internet Explorer 7). You can of course also get this at Microsoft's website and read more about it at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx -- again, as with most downloads from Micosoft these days you must have a genuine copy of windows or at least a pirated copy that authenticates (I have seen one before, hehe). Just download both of those and use a good antivirus program and you'll be good to go, your computer will run like mine and have nearly NO popups and problems (although I'm using Vista now but before Vista I had it setup with XP and for years I never had any problems... and since Vista it's been more of the same, only difference is that I haven't found a good antivirus program but I'll have one very soon. nJOY! -D
  17. one day I may actually have them though
  18. damn right mofo!
  19. Oh I love how on the mac comercials they act like having to upgrade for vista is a bad thing or something. Like "oh-no if you want the best graphics you mave have to get a faster video card... and you may have to upgrade your processor... oh no!" --- you have to upgrade because Vista is the shit!! It's a bleeding edge OS, Macs would have to upgrade too. Just 'cause mac OS sucks so bad that it's able to run on even the worst macs is nothing for them to brag about. VIVA LA PC! I'LL NEVER SWITCH!
  20. and fuck you guys that said "are TMN bucks worth saving = NO" -- TMN bucks never lose their value
  21. haha, fuck no. NEVER. You seriously can't understand unless you live here. There would be major riots over shit like that. lol, seriously. Flaming torches and all! And i'll be leading my local riot chapter, lol
  22. I friggen love vista. If you're system can handle it I highly reccomend. I'm running it on a core 2 duo system with 2 gig of DDR2 (PC2 6400) and a radeon x1950 pro... BUT amazingly it runs well on my laptop too, which is only has a pentium M 2.66 with 1GB of DDR2 400 (I think that's PC2 3200) and a ATI Mobility Radeon X600.... the laptop not only runs it well but it also runs it with full graphics somehow Vista is a smooth operator
