I haven't made any executables yet but I may be making something like that in the first or second quarter of '07 to go with some other upgrade on the way. As for the CSV feature, I took care of that for you.. only took me about 45 minutes of scripting to add that feature. You will see the button on the bottom of the results of your searches. It says " Download all results as CSV" and I've tested it with a few queries and it's working perfect. Let me know how that works out for you. Thanks for the suggestion, -D

why would this belong in this section... why would it even belong on this site. Please don't spam.
-
oh crap... lol, I'm only just now noticing the post because you posted... on the 16th ... I wonder why I never noticed your original post. Well, since then I've added what you were looking for.
-
I already have a tool like you're talking about. It's at http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/scheduled_test.php -- It gives you the option to have the test run on a schedule. You select the schedule, click go and minimize the window and it does the rest Is that what you were asking about? - D
-
yeah I added... And then I also changed the default smiley set to the Christmas set to go with the Christmas theme that has been also turned on this morning.
-
Jesus Sparticus... that will take me like 10 years to add all those... how about you narrow that down to some choice favorites
-
Yeah, I just added those. I also started a topic at http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-17507 where people can now add smileys ... I already have a christmas set and will be turning them on 7 days before Christmas along with the Christmas theme... you can see the christmas smiley set by going into your profile (http://www.testmy.net/go-profile) then go to "Look and Layout Preferences" then change "Current Smiley Set:" to "Christmas" -- there are other sets you can chose from. But this only changes the main (top row) smileys, not all of them. 'n JOY! -D

I want your smileys! I'm currently looking for smileys for our forum. We already have many but if you know of any cool ones that you think would be nice to have here please submit! Every single smiley that's submitted will be added to our stockpile (as long as they're not obscene or crude). The really good ones will be visible in our 'more smileys' pop-up and the really, really, really good (and the right size, style) ones may even make it in the main smiley selection area. But at the very least your smiley will be added as a hidden smiley which will be accessed using code. So.......

reply...
attach...
and tell me the trigger you want (example: [smiley81])
If you need more explanation keep reading or shoot me a PM The preferred submission (cont.)

Step 1 - You can simply reply to this topic (note: to attach a file you can't use quick reply, you must use the reply button at the top or bottom of the page... or click the preview button on the quick reply to be taken to the full version of 'reply' which has the attachment option) then click the "+ Additional Options..." (it's right below the text box where you enter the text for your post), once you click "+ Additional Options..." you will see something that says "attach", this is where you'll browse your computer for the file you want to attach. Then you just submit your post like normal. If you want to attach more than one image for your post you can click "(more attachments)", you can add up to 20 attachments per post. If you happen to have more than 20 smileys that you want to share with us then just submit them in more than one post, or better yet just zip them up if you know how to.
Step 2 (optional) - Now that you've got your smiley picked out and ready to submit you can add one more optional thing to your post. If you'd like you can suggest what the shortcut trigger will be for your smiley. This is what is typed by people to trigger the smiley, if you want to see what I'm talking about reply to a post and click one of the smileys and you'll see... the text that it writes is the trigger for that smiley. Triggers would look something like [smiley81] or -smiley81- or {smiley81} --- something like that. It can be whatever you want and as long as it's reasonable I will use your suggestion.
And to everyone who participates... thank you. -D
yeah, we did talk about that. But I didn't want to block new people completely from sending PMs because many new people want to contact people either reguarding one of their posts or guides or they want to contact a mod for some reason... and also the 'contact' link (at the bottom of all the pages) works through our PM system, I do this instead of an email address so that I don't have to worry about spam bots, I've had contact scripts also (a form on a page that anyone can fill out to contact me)... but the pm system has been working great for people to contact me and the other mods. If someone needs to contact us bad enough they shouldn't mind the signup process IMO ... as for DanX's PM's not working, that would be a first. I've never heard of anyone having problems with this. I'm still waiting on a response from him. I think I'll send him a PM and ask him to respond to it instead of waiting for him to get to this thread. -D
-
no, actually I allow any member to send PMs. To control spam I only allow them to send out 4 messages at a time. What does it do when you try to send the message? Does it give you an error? Try to send me a message https://testmy.net/pm-2 We'll figure this out for ya -D

well, now that's just stealing.. haha

post some of your speed tests... I looked up your username in the database but couldn't find anything. When I looked you up with your IP address I found the following stats (from the compID that the IP associated with the post you just made) http://www.testmy.net/comp-63494320536 Did you make your post on a different computer? Because the upload only averages 166Kbps not the speed you stated. Are you getting kB/s mixed up with Kbps? It's VERY rare to have a 5Mbit upload, common to have a 5Mbit download though. Are you sure that your upload isn't supposed to be 256Kbps? Common speeds for uploads are as follows. 128Kbps 256Kbps (I'm guessing that this is what your speed should be, because one of your results was 255Kbps) 384Kbps 512Kbps 768Kbps 1024kbps or 1Mbps (what I happen to have ) Availible upload speeds but VERY rare (usually only FIOS, business class DSL or cable in areas where FIOS is competition in the market) 1536Kbps or 1.5mbps 2048Kbps or 2Mbps 5120Kbps or 5mbps So are you sure you're not mistaken? Post some of your tests... and check with your provider and see what your quotted speed is, then we will go from there.

Sure can -- You can use it like a kick ass lay-a-way system. Like I said, I'm now on my third exchange. Each time getting a tv that's a little bit better (well this one is a lot better... I friggen love it.. haha). So if you're in the market to get something big do it at Sams or Costco because we all know how fast technology is going and let's face it the electronic stuff you buy today will be outdated in two months. I know that if I was going to buy a new laptop I would for sure know where to shop. Oh yeah, and the last time I returned the TV I didn't have a membership, to do the exchange I paid for a membership then right after I finished my transaction I returned the membership and got my money back. Ha ha ha, it's like they're retarded. lol -- you gotta love it. America rules.

yeah, that blue is the perfect ice blue, huh.

Oh man... you just can't beat their return policy! This is the 2nd time I've done this. I returned my TV and got a better one. I originally got my TV (the first one) back in early 2004, I returned it to Sam's Club back in January 2006. I then paid about $600 more to get a plasma (I originally had a rear projection HD). The plasma I got was a 42" Phillips. The cool thing is that I was able to return my old TV without a problem... a TV that I got 2 years prior! Well yesterday I did it again. I took my 42" Phillips plasma into Sam's Club and returned it and without question they gave me CASH... seriously without question! they didn't even want to know why! I then proceeded to Costco and got my 50" Phillips plasma for only $60 more than my last one cost me.

wow, I might just have to add some of those to testmy.net

You know what happened.... you were given a testID that happened to already be in the database. The thing is that the testID's are a 9 character code generated randomly out over letters A-Z and numbers 0-9. This gives millions of possible codes... you just happened to have been given a testID that was already given out, I've altered the database so that if this happens in the future the new score will overwrite the old one. But given the amount of possible codes this is VERY rare, I bet you wish that those extreme odds were in your favor with the lottery... hey maybe that's a sign that you should play the lottery, go buy a ticket! And if you win, hook me up

I'll look into this.... this would be a first......

It's possible that the way the admin is controlling the speeds runs deeper than you think. By the way, testmy.net doesn't condone hacking nor do we give information on hacking. What we can help you with is the software being used by the admin. First of all..... A... Note, a note which also may clear up where testmy.net stands with topics like this: Since you have the password saved on your computer it's not really hacking, it's just being somewhere that you know you're not supposed to be... it's not our place to play nanny. But for future reference, just to let you know, you may get more help by leaving the references to hacking out of the topic and withholding information as to how you go the access you have until someone asks. As I said though, it's not testmy.net's job to police the net... we're here to provide speed testing and answer questions (and be your friends, lol).
Some things you may want to include in your post are screenshots of the web based admin tool you're using to administrate the changes, please make sure you blur out any IP addresses or identifying information. as much information about your connection as you can give (don't give your IP, lol) as much information about the situation as you can, what are the network details... what program is being used to manage (share) this connection But I have a feeling that the changes you're making on that web admin panel (I did understand that correctly right) are either not making ALL the changes needed to throttle your connection up, meaning that there may be more settings on the server beyond the admin panel that you can't see or additional settings inside the admin panel that you need to change and haven't. -OR (and this is a big 'or') you may not have applied the settings to the client end (your computer) correctly. You need to make sure that you at least reboot the machine or release and renew the IP. let us know more info - Good luck, and SHAME ON YOU... hahahaha - D

Just saw this on youtube ... If you want to be suprised try to just focus on the video (don't read anything on the page till after). Pretty cool video I have to give it to our boys... you guys rock. -D
