Yeah, I made a few changes that overall speed up the whole site.... That counter wasn't taking too much resources, it really wasn't nessisary anymore. On the front page you can see a counter that is more accurate than that one was (the other one was not tied into mySQL and my user sessions and was often off by as many as 10 users or more)

I just put it back on there... if even one person is using it then it's needed.... as for the home page I will try to add that back on there while making it fit for resolution smaller than 1024x768 (that's why I removed that little bit.. to make it fit better) ~~ if I can't make it fit you can always see it on the forum home page.

Yep... the other is 103 high -- too tall ~~ 100 is the max. If it's too big my server is supposed to resize it though, the only time that has a problem is if it's an animated gif ~~ animated gifs MUST be the correct size to start with otherwise the animation won't work.

Got rid of karma... everyone votted it off the island. As for the rss feed, in the bottom right hand corner of the FireFox browser you will see an icon... if you click it you will see it says "Subscribe to 'RSS 2.0'" ~~ once you do that look under your bookmarks and you will see a testmy.net bookmark with a submenu... when you expand the submenu you will find an always up-to-date list of the 20 most recent topics at testmy.net. FireFox communicates to my rss feed I have running to make it all possible.

I was thinking that if we did come out with a GUI anytime soon that it would be a connection tweaking GUI not a speed test GUI - like speedguide has done... but more detailed. Problem is that I am not the master at making GUI's - I would need to polish up those skills, I haven't played in C++ for about 5 years -- I bet it's all easy now
