  7. See... I don't have that problem. And it would be very hard for your browser to cahce any of my tests. Change your browsers max cache size to 5000 (or about 5MB) this may fix the problem. With highspeed it really doesn't need to be bigger than that Here are my scores, I scored lower on the retest... upload was the same either way. And by the way, my connection if running like shit the past week or so. :::.. 11. that program works great. I use it to simulate slower connections so I can test the accuracy of my tests
  12. Try this first.. Open > https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=65 -- open the EXE inside, don't worry I assure you it's safe Click DSL > check Modify All Network Adapters > click Optimal Settings > Click APPLY ~~~ reboot and re-test ~~ post what you get and we will see from there if we can tweak you anymore
  13. Actually you are so close to where it wouldn't have said that. At 90% you are in great shape. Plus, keep in mind that this is an average for your host overall. If some people on your host have better packages (like they pay for 3 Mbps connection or something) this may change the idea of what's ideal. What package do you have with your host? You may want to check out this tweak guide post .. over in the guides section of the site >> www.testmy.net/topic-1013
  14. Try unplugging your modem for few seconds and plug it back in. This will manually make your modem request settings. This may help you get the new settings faster than waiting. Re-Test after and let me know. Also, you may want to tweak your connection. It might not be optimized -- see the post in the guides section .. >> here >> https://testmy.net/topic-1013 I'm on 5Mbps also.. check it out :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 5335 Kbps about 5.3 Mbps (tested with 2992 KB) Download Speed is:: 651 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Test Time:: Mon Feb 21 2005 05:44:38 GMT-0700 (US Mountain Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 95X faster than 56K 1MB download in 1.57 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 64.25 % faster than the average for host (cox.net) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/id-JGWBAQ9KC
  15. Firefox is still better...
  16. Yes, that is a good one. Also, I reccomend Linksys BEFCU10 (or something like that) they are awesome modems... very fast.
  17. I don't think that's DOCSIS ... check to see if your ISP allows docsis modems, let me know and then I can let you know a good modem
  18. type about:config in your address bar and change the following setings settings changed: >>> means 'change to' network.http.pipelining = false >>> network.http.pipelining = true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 4 >>> network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 20 network.http.proxy.pipelining = false >>> network.http.proxy.pipelining = true nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 0 ?????????? I never found this setting myself Good luck ~

  21. Cool, thanks. Got me to load @ 2.12 now Thanks, it's in Texas right now. I may be moving the server to Phoenix, or maybe add another server. I have been having routing problems to this one. Plus the traffic is getting a little heavy for just one server... it's a headache man.
  22. mine is 2.36 -- is there a program you used to tweak firefox. Or did you use about:config -- let me know what settings you used to get your gain... I still haven't tweaked my firefox, and I don't used m2 anymore.
