Hi Bakerjm, I was just able to download and open the csv file created by the export function on my own computer without an issue. The file created is a simple CSV or comma separated value file. There isn't much to go wrong there but weird things can always happen. If you're having a hard time opening in excel you could try opening with any text editor. Send me the file that the site created for you and I'll look into it and see if there's an issue. Another thing to try is to just share your stats URL with them. >> https://testmy.net/quickstats/Bakerjm -- If you want to only send them a small portion of your stats you can query your stats using any of the filtering options (for instance, by entering "21" days)... once you've got your query locked in and the page is showing the stats you want to share click the "Share & Export" button, then click "Share this Query". An example of this, outputted from my own stats results in the following URL >> https://testmy.net/st...7&l=250&q=CA3LE which you can then share with your provider. This way they're able to see graphs and everything that you see. The export function is only raw data in CSV format and has no graphics. If you want to share your last 21 days going back from today here's the link https://testmy.net/st...l=250&q=Bakerjm Let me know if this works for you, - Damon

Hi Paul, I'm in Phoenix Arizona, USA. But my servers are located in Dallas Texas, Washington D.C. and Seattle Washington... right on top of some of the most powerful trunk lines on the Internet. If you're not near one of these states it's not a bad thing. These locations were hand chosen because these are locations where many other websites host... therefore, I believe, providing a more realistic evaluation of your connection speed. Texas, especially, is like a central hub to the United States data communications... this is why I choose to have this as the default testing location and where TMN's home server resides. As I always say... Do you want to know what your connection speed is to your neighbors house or to where other websites are hosted? I personally could care less what my speed is inside of my hosts network or within my state... in comparison to the locations I've chosen, nobody hosts in Phoenix... so why would my speeds to locations in Phoenix matter? This is why I have a hard time understanding the mentality of some other speed tests on the market. I also strongly believe that ISPs are sending their users to these internally hosted test to mask their peering short comings. "Look, your speed is juuuust fine... must be the website your visiting." -- BS! My aim with TestMy.net is to educate people and expose this malpractice. - Cheers, - Damon

Awesome, DSLReports has a lot of great members and information. ... I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Not many people take the time to do that these days. -D

Well, I feel better knowing that there was an issue with your download speed as well... because this bug didn't effect the download test. ... dang, scary time to fly. I think I would have rather flown in an analog plane at that time. I guess having two redundant software systems only helps if one completely fails... not if there's a bug, because if there's a bug in one, there will be a bug in the other one too. Right? Sometimes I wonder how much more a comercial airliner, for instance a 737, weighs due to it's redundancy... and how much extra fuel is spent each year for unnecessary redundant systems... systems only in place to make the consumer feel safer. You worked in that industry... do you feel that it's a little over redundant or do you think it's just right because of the nature of what's being dealt with. I mean... does everything really need a backup? Is it, to a point, being done to make consumers feel safer about airline travel? In all fairness, you caught this bug before anyone else... I've promoted your account to sophist. I'm going to tell you the same thing I told Smith6612... Cheers! -D

I knew there was another topic on this I needed to reply to... I just lost track of where it was. Actually, I hate to say it but there was in fact a bug that was discovered. Had had to do with the character set being misinterpreted. I should have caught it sooner. https://testmy.net/ip...ad/#entry336113 It doesn't mean that you didn't have an issue... but it was definitely being exaggerated in the results because of the character set issue. What actually helped to catch this bug was that the member who posted the topic above tested on old.testmy.net and compared the results. Which were out of line. That site is static and doesn't change... the main site however is constantly being developed and bugs are bound to happen during that process. This one was such a small thing but the impact was great. When you contacted me I wasn't expecting to see a bug because there no heavy development on the upload test since my last waiting period. I start and stop development on different sections and put them under a period of waiting so that any bugs can surface... in this way I can know, "okay... no bugs... keep building." or "I've got a bug, much be something to do with the last round I did on that script." -- I have a lot of code and I've found that's the way that works best for me... with the smallest impact on my users when there is a bug. I dismissed it as a problem with your connection because nobody else had said anything. The problem was that the character set wasn't being necessarily changed by the code... some kind of update to the apache server was fooling with it also. This was only effecting the upload test by the way. And I don't think it effected everyone... under some circumstances it may have been defaulting to the intended character set. Apparently I had some reading to catch up on about some new standards that were coming down the pipe regarding character sets... programming is constantly evolving and adjustments need to be made, this is why I can never stop building. Other websites out there wouldn't have big a problem with this issue, they might have a few characters on the page show up incorrectly but not really a big deal. Only hackers and geeks use 8bit characters when they type. But because of the nature of what TMN is doing to your browser during the test something like that had a big impact in this situation. The cumulative difference of all the characters of the test information being misinterpreted by your browser obviously impacted results. This is now being basically hardwired into the configuration via .htaccess so it can never happen again... unless I accidentally delete that file, but trust me... if that happened the whole site would be messed up and it would be a very obvious problem. I'm really sorry if the results confused you or caused you any trouble. I make mistakes sometimes but I always learn from them.

No problem, it's what I do... ... see I sensed that you were knowledgeable. That title is well deserved and I don't just hand those out. Out of 86,000 registered members only 23 hold that title and only 35 have a higher title. I hope you stop by from time to time and provide your insite... lots of people with connection problems and we're much smarter and can solve much more as a collection of minds. -D

Looking to host a speed test using TestMy.net's engine
CA3LE replied to CA3LE's topic in Ask TestMy.net & FAQ
Hi Scott, Actually, I'm in the middle of building this. Everything is essentially built but it's for my own use... I'm packing it up for configuration and use by others and should start offering it soon. You'll be able to use my exact testing engine but you'll have the ability to brand it for your company. I will have a free, ad supported version and a paid version with more controls. This will be able to be ran on any server with php and mySQL support. I personally have always run linux with apache and mySQL so that will be the preferred setup actually. I have a few things to do before I can release this. I want to build an admin control panel so that people can build it the way they want without programming knowledge. I then need to compile the code so I am sure that my intellectual property is protected. I'm willing to release my code for others to use but only if I'm still holding the keys. I have truly unique methods and I've worked most of my life on this so I obviously don't want people to know how I do everything. So Zend or SourceGuardian will also be required to be installed on the host server... not sure yet which I will use. Both have loaders that are free, with simple installs for anyone with enough knowledge to want to host a speed test. Give me some time, it's my top priority right now. I have a long list of ISPs and individuals that have requested this over the years. I'll add you to that list and as soon as I've made it available I'll contact you to let you know. Cheers, - Damon Mueller -
Hi Cara, This has to be an issue with your browser. Localized to your computer. Some people actually report higher upload speeds with IE... but some report slower. It depends on your specific configuration. If your install of IE has a lot of plug-ins, one or more of them may be interacting with your browsing experience negatively. IE is susceptible to many issues that other browser aren't. I highly recommend Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as they don't carry the same burdens... they are simply put, better browsers. I have recommended IE in the past but today that's not the case, I really can't back that browser today. Not only does it have those problems it also reads and processes programming completely unique to all other browsers. This is a pain for us programmers because it makes us almost have to design everything twice. What this means to the end user is that you're going to visit some websites and not experience it as the designer intended. Late last year before the release of IE9 I had a telephone conversation with the Senior Product Manager at Microsoft that's responsible for this stuff. I asked him why they don't support webkit as well as other things. He basically told me that programmers should be programming the way that THEY want. I'm sorry, it doesn't work that way. So, instead of providing backwards compatibility to make things look right, like Chrome and Firefox do Microsoft expects people to program specially for them... they want to be the standard. I believe that they've got it wrong, because there is no encompassing standard... there are standards but they can't expect every webmaster to completely follow exact standards... and if they decide to program for webkit browsers and don't also include commands for trident, then the users experience is lacking in design elements and things can be misaligned and misplaced. IE is too strict... and it's slowing down the development of the Internet. I understand making it strict to aid programming in writing clean code but I think it's wrong to push those errors to the end user. Chrome and Firefox go as far as correcting minor errors so that the end users experience is as good as it possibly can be. IE used to be awesome, don't get me wrong. But unless they start listening to the people who are building the Internet... they will continue to lose market share. I'm already, for the first time in my history, starting to see less IE users than other browsers. Chrome 27.82% Internet Explorer 27.49% Firefox 24.34% Going back two years... Internet Explorer 41.68% Firefox 34.42% Chrome 12.55% Going back farther IE has been as high as 85%. I have a lot of traffic that spans the globe so my sample size for those numbers is quite large and is a good representation of Internet traffic as a whole. Microsoft is losing. Unless they change their mentality it will continue. I recommend jumping ship until they come out with a version worthy of your use... almost any browser is better right now. I hope you like my site and share it, I grow by word-of-mouth only so I appreciate people spreading the word for me. - Kind Regards, - Damon Mueller

Hello Volker, I wish I had a team. - But I'm solo on this. So what's most likely at fault is international routing. You're hitting a bottleneck along your route. My servers are all in the United States and your connection has to traverse the Atlantic Ocean to reach me. Having said that, your speeds really aren't bad. I've seen people cross that distance on 100Mbps + connections with little degradation but they're usually on better connected networks, not home connections. If all goes to plan I'll soon be releasing my software to anyone with a web server. Once it becomes available there will be mirrors using my technology spanning the globe. For now you might want to try testing off my Washington D.C. server... it requires less hops to reach German and may improve your speed... but the bottleneck is most likely crossing the Ocean. BUT, if you visit a lot of websites in the United States this is a more accurate representation of your speed than it is when you test closer to home. Compare your speeds to others in Germany and you'll see that you're doing very well... not many people get those kind of speeds from that distance. The fact is, international Internet routes are hitting a breaking point. Too much traffic and not enough bandwidth so often the peering crossing the atlantic is poor... I think that in some cases the bottlenecks are in place intentionally... to limit consumers in an effort to alleviate the load. The point to my website is that I'm trying to bring this information to light... hopefully one day improving the situation. Because theoretically you could pull your near full speed given any distance... as long as the providers and their peers are delivering the bandwidth as promised. Cheers, I hope you like what I've built and share it with your friends, - Damon Mueller

Ahhh, it's sooooo much better now! I just wish I would have taken the time to fix it a long time ago. I might have used the remote more up until this point. I got it and it annoyed me so I kinda forgot about it for a while. I've got my Mac mini in my living room right now and have been watching a lot of movies on it so I was like, "THAT'S IT! Time to fix this!" -- I have my Mac's speak dialog box info so even though it was popping up behind my movie it was like, "Excuse me, iTunes needs your attention." -- "AHHHHH! Son of a..." -- made even more annoying because I had the batteries out of my trackpad and keyboard (baby needs are eating up all my batteries... I need to get more in the mix). So I had to pull out the laptop or run to my iMac and remote desktop to fix it... screw that! I just wanted to pause to get a damn drink and now I've wasted all this time... I knew there had to be a solution. Just disappointed that Apple doesn't just put an option in the system or iTunes preferences.

Wow, I haven't been this confused for a loooooooong time (that's a lot of O's) ... seriously dude, thanks. I fixed the problem but I'm still unsure of what the hell was causing this to happen. Apparently my request for a binary character set was being ignored on the first request, once it had been loaded one time the browser then decided to acknowledge. I've never seen this happen... it may have something to do with a few server changes I just made. But I reverted those changes and I was still seeing the issue... maybe I made more changes than I can remember. Who knows. All I know is that I worked around it by using an alternate method to tell your browser what character set I want it to use... viola! The thing is, if the browser interprets the data using the wrong character set the data being sent or received becomes jumbled... resulting in more data than was actually there... because it replaces 8 bit characters with it's own representation of the characters I intended... always resulting in more data. That's the best way I can explain it. I probably wouldn't have noticed that for a while because it only occurred when cache and history was cleared... most likely, unless I was really paying attention I would have dismissed the lower first result as a fluke of the connection being used. So again, thanks... you're awesome. I truly rely on members like you to debug this stuff. I can debug until I look like a zombie... but it is never as good as what my users can do for me. I simply can't catch it all... at any given time I have 5 or more aspects I'm working on. By doing what you did you were my extra eyes, you did a very good job of illustrating the issue. I was following the tests as they processed (on your meter off to the left) and I was thinking, "Okay, we're at about an average of 610-650Kbps..." then a totally unexpected result. On re-test, the expected result. WHAT! Like I said, I still have no idea what the root of this was. All I know is that it's fixed now. It HAS to have SOMETHING to do with the overhaul I did over the past 24 hours. Which increases the efficiency of how things load here...

Hi Smith6612, welcome to TMN! So... there actually was a bug that would have caused that but it was resolved a few days ago. Check it out... ... 4 kB/s fluctuation between tests. I just now ran those. I think I know what's happening with you... the test you took on TestMy.net was using the East Coast (Washington D.C.) server. But old.testmy.net is hosted on the same server as the default server on TestMy.net. That would definitely explain the discrepancy. Switch to the default server and they should line up... ... Latency as well as some other treats will be included in the version I'm building now. Hang in there, I'm just one guy over here... but I am banging it out. My results to the other servers...

You might have a bad router. Being a cable provider an MTU of 1500 is optimal. Sometimes using the routers reset button and setting up from factory defaults will help. That shouldn't effect the firmware upgrade you did by the way. Hold the reset for about ten seconds, unplug the router continuing to hold the reset as it boots up for about ten seconds. (Do this because some routers have a different sequence for resetting... this will ensure its being reset)... some little setting might be incorrect, sometimes starting over can help. Another thing to try is to use the same Ethernet cable that you were using to connect the D-Link router to the modem. The one that came with the new router might be at fault... I've seen it happen more than once... supposedly brand new cable, bad. Good luck, let us know what you find.

speed differences new vs old test my net
CA3LE replied to m Keith Washburn's topic in General Discussion
hummm, well that's preferred method to get ahold of me. Nothing came through... and I just tested the form to make sure there isn't a problem and I received my test message. Maybe you left a field blank and it returned an error and you just didn't notice. It will look like this when it's successfully logged... I made a little change so that errors for that form show up in red. It's now more obvious when it hasn't been sent... in case that was the issue. ... there isn't any complexity to how I've written that... it either fails or succeeds. When it's sent successfully the message gets written directly to a database and when I visit the site I get a notice that pops up in my face and fades away every time I load a page. I wanted to make sure that there was 0% chance of me missing any messages sent through that form. So I made sure when I built it that it can't say that it was sent successfully without being first written to the database... and if it's written to the database there is no way that I won't get it. In fact it's written also to a backup database and there was no record of your message in there either. I'd bet that you left your name or email address blank and didn't notice the error Thanks for trying to let me know -- just glad it was caught quickly. It really was a simple fix but had a profound impact on results. -
It was driving me insane that iTunes kept popping up every time I hit play on my apple IR remote. After some research I found that you actually have to patch the rcd daemon to disable this. Luckily someone named NoMitsu created a very simple patch to resolve this apple annoyance. ... many of the links out there pointing to this file result in a 404 error however so I wanted to give people an alternative download to hopefully help some people out. MMFix.dmg Very simple and straight forward process... You can also revert the changes simply by reopening the application... For those of you like myself that prefer VLC or another media player over iTunes and use the IR Remote this patch will alleviate the headache of iTunes popping up, ruining your movie every time you hit the play button. ...seriously Apple, you couldn't put an option for that. Wasn't Microsoft sued for something similar... forcing users to use their application. The end user should have a choice of how they want to use their computer! (without having to patch or hack system files). At any rate, I've used this simple yet effective patch and it works beautifully.

speed differences new vs old test my net

Where did you send it? I didn't get anything through my contact form, email or TMN inbox... oh well, it's fixed and that's what matters -
HEY! Don't ever forget about TMN! lol So, I take it that if you reconnect the old router your speed returns to normal... I see that shortly after you posted you attained about 4Mbps, was that your old router? I can definitely see the difference in your results. Is Penteledata a DSL provider? With many DSL providers an MTU of 1500 isn't ideal. From my personal DSL experience in the past an MTU of 1496 seemed to do the trick and make quite a difference... it may be as simple as that. Look through your routers settings for MTU and give that a try. I would have a hard time enjoying a new router if the speeds were slow -- hopefully you don't have to send it back. I love ASUS products... I've used their motherboards in builds dating all the way back to 1998 (maybe earlier) and they've been some of the most powerful and stable machines I've built. I've also bought about 8-10 ASUS LCD monitors and have never seen a dead pixel... I still have a 25.5" and a 27" and they're awesome... people always want to buy them off me for some reason. I'm like, "dude, just get a new one off Newegg... you'll get an up to date model... THESE ARE MINE!" --- At the time I got the 25.5" it would have cost me 3X what I paid for the ASUS to get a Samsung that had the same refresh rates. It was the only monitor within the price range I wanted to pay that had HDMI out... the next cheapest was twice as much and the refresh rate was 2X the ASUS. My point is that they have great quality products... at great prices too. Having said that, I've never used their routers... maybe after you've got it running correctly you could let us know your final thoughts on the ASUS RT56U.

TestMy.net shows different results than other speed tests
CA3LE replied to CA3LE's topic in Ask TestMy.net & FAQ
Hi Keith, First, sorry this email is so long. Sometimes I don't realize how much I've written until I'm done. I can't really speak for other speed tests out there but I can share some information I've gathered about some other so called Internet speed tests. This information may pertain to BT's speed test as well. >> https://testmy.net/ip...la-speed-tests/ -- there are related articles linked at the bottom of the first post of that topic that may also shed some light on the subject. Most likely the speed is being reported below BT's speed test result because they are testing your connection within their network. These days almost all providers prefer this because it makes your connection appear better than it really is. Also read >> https://testmy.net/legit-speed-test.php My speed test has many things going for it that lend to it's accuracy. TestMy.net has been around since 2001... I have more experience than anybody when it comes to Internet speed testing. It started as a hobby and as a tool I built for myself but for the past 8-9 years I've been completely dedicated to TestMy.net. I've actually been developing my tests since 1999 but in the early years I had to shut down for a while because it cost me too much to host the site. Back before 2001 there really wasn't sufficient Internet ad revenue to offset my bandwidth costs. It grew too fast, too quick and too early in the history of the Internet. I had to shut it down until the cost of bandwidth decreased and ad revenue possibilities increased but I never stopped developing it. I even had sponsors that promised me bandwidth only to shut me down when they realized that I wasn't exaggerating with my bandwidth projections. It was pretty frustrating times. Thank god for Google Adsense and my other sponsors... also the cost of bandwidth is more than 100X less than it was. My tests do not use third party plugins such as Sun Java and Macromedia Flash. Although it might have been easier to design the tests using those... they aren't accurate test platforms. It has always been in my design to utilize ONLY the web browser. Tests that use other protocols are at the mercy of those protocols. They are subject to many factors that my tests simply don't have to deal with. In many cases those tests are making adjustments based on guesses... adjusting for unknown variables. Some of them make adjustments of as much as 30-40% to offset a variable that could be as little as 5%... they don't know the real number of how much they need to offset so they guess! Now last time I checked, my visitors are looking for a test... not a guess. --- I've never seen a referral from search engines using keywords like, "bandwidth speed guess" -- lol TestMy.net does not host within any providers networks, my host directly peers with many providers but my servers are not on the edge of their networks. All providers are graded based on the same criteria, everyone is given a fair chance to score well. If the provider is weakly peered or has issues with their routing then it will be more apparent using TMN. Providers would like you to test within their networks because when you do you eliminate variables that could make them look bad. These variables that may or may not be in their control. But I feel that's the information you were looking for. If you want to test your Internet speed then you have to test it through the Internet, using a normal routing procedure as if you were visiting any other website. Don't you agree? I provide a real world scenario not a best case scenario. Overstocked and overpowered... my servers are more powerful than what is needed for my application... WAY overpowered. I have multiple gigabit symmetrical uplinks to one of the most powerful, well connected hosts in the business, hosted on major Internet pipelines. My main server is smack dab on top of the heart of the Internet crossroads, right on an artery where a larger percentage of the worlds popular websites are hosted. Any provider worth anything should peer well to that location. Distance is not always a factor. Some other sites lead you to believe that you need to test off a server near you. It's a complete fallacy. Okay, let me ask you this, when you visit a website... how often do you get to pick where it's being served from? Sometimes they ask you location on International sites but that's usually more for a language preference. How often is that being served even from the same state that you're in? Trust me, not very often. I have seen people on the other side of the planet pull 200+ Mbps from TMN. A properly configured like on a well connected provider can max out or nearly max out over thousands of miles. I offer east coast and west coast servers only as a comparison to the main server to help diagnose routing issues. I could easily set it up so that people are sent automatically to the closest server but I feel that isn't always an accurate representation of your connection. I personally live over 1400 miles from my home server, I'm able to max my 50Mbps line with no problem... as long as my home connection is working the way it's supposed to. Randomized, un-cacheable test information and large file sizes. Other speed tests rarely tell you how much information is actually being transferred and I can almost guarantee you that the information used for testing is the same from test to test. Again, I can't really speak for the other guys... but I know that they don't do it like I do. The data that testmy.net uses is created by the server on the fly. Unlike other speed tests I don't use real physical files. While you're testing random, incompressible data is being created by the server and sent to you. No two tests are alike. This makes it impossible for the data to be compressed by your provider, which would lead to a result that's higher than the true speed. (most common among satellite providers) That's a few reasons why other speed tests out there may report differently. There are more reasons, TMN is unique and proprietary in how it operates. BT as well as just about every provider on the planet USED to send their customers to TMN to test their connections. I've had a lot of call center techs send me copies of training manuals from back in the day where it was standard procedure to test at TestMy.net. It was seriously step one in many cases. What I think happened is they realized that they could cut down on service calls and save money by showing customers that their connection is working fine to THEIR servers. They then blame any problems on the website that the customer is visiting. The problem with that is that the provider is at least partially responsible for the route you take from your computer to the server you're visiting. They choose who they peer through and sometimes these connections going out to the Internet that they have can be overloaded. If the test that you're using bypasses the route that your provider takes to get you outside their network then you won't see those issues. ... how can that be a test. They also have inferior testing technology. I've been developing my speed test over many years, lots of trial and error and the way I see it... I'll never finish this project. Providers who host their own speed tests have stake in the results... if they are misrepresented the company stands to possibly gain something. .... I on the other hand grade everyone the same. I have no ties to any ISP and have no reason to inflate results. If people suspected that I was misrepresenting the information it would hurt my business. The big ISPs could care less about the traffic to their speed tests... the larger companies stand to easily save millions in service calls and call center support if people think that it's the fault of the website they're trying to visit. ... see what I'm laying down? I've been trying to spread the word about these practices for years. But it's very hard. First, I have to get people to read what I've written. Then I have to convince them that I'm an authority on the subject. It's really hard because I seriously have nearly every Internet provider out to get me right now. I'm telling their customers the truth that they don't want them to know. I've had A LOT of providers contact me wanting me to host my test within their networks, often offering me money and hosting to make it happen. But I feel that I'm working in the interest of the consumer... how can it be in the interest of the consumer if the test isn't really testing the Internet? Hopefully with help from the community I can get the truth out. I truly feel that they're doing it on purpose in many cases and it makes me sick. Consumers are being blatantly lied to. All I can do is keep programming and writing for what I think is right and hope that people visit and tell their friends. If you like what I've built, please pass it along... TMN is 100% word-of-mouth. - Cheers, - Damon Mueller -
TestMy.net shows different results than other speed tests
CA3LE replied to CA3LE's topic in Ask TestMy.net & FAQ
Hi James, Please read https://testmy.net/ip...m-speedtestnet/ Also read https://testmy.net/legit-speed-test.php Speedtest.net and Speakeasy.net are setup to favor the ISP IMO. When you're testing your internet service the last person you should be asking is your provider. What do you think they're going to tell you? They want to cut down on service calls. On TestMy.net you should first test using all three servers, East Coast, West Coast and Central... if you get bad results to all three then trust me... your internet service is being effected. TestMy's servers are not located within your hosts network, as they would often times like you to test from. I host my servers where the majority of popular websites host their servers. ... if you don't trust my unbiased opinion then go test on Speakeasy or Speedtest. But trust me when I tell you... I'm the only true speed test that works for the consumer. All the others are either owned by ISPs or are having their pockets padded by the ISPs. Here's a little fact, speedtest.net is ran by the former CEO of Speakeasy! Do you think they're going to design a test to benefit their ISP cronies or the consumer? TestMy.net on the other hand stands nothing to benefit from misrepresenting the numbers. I've also been testing consumer internet for much longer than they have. My methods have been proven effective since the dawn of the internet speed test. If you're not pulling your speed or close to it from my servers... you've got some issue along the route. I bet you can feel it too... otherwise you wouldn't be out trying to test it. It's up to you who you trust. If you take their word for it... it's like trusting a used car salesman to tell you how mechanically sound a car he's trying to sell you is. Sorry, but I'll get a second opinion. I hope you like my website, ...a lot of ISPs don't. I'm just telling everyone the truth. Sometimes the truth hurts I guess. - Kind Regards, - Damon Mueller -
Hi Edward, First, your welcome. I'm glad that you like what I've created. I'm flattered that so many people find it useful. I originally created the site for my own use and didn't really intend or expect for so many people to use it, TestMy.net kinda happened on accident. The only suggestions I have would be to either post something in my forum or contact Xplornet (I see that's who your provider is). I've never used or troubleshooted a satellite connection first hand so I'm really not the best person for information. But the collective knowledge of my users can be profound. Post either in General Discussion or Make it Faster and I'm sure that a few people will try to help. You may also find help in searching what's already been posted in the past. If you do post a topic and you figure out what the issue is please take the time to let us know... someone in the future with the same issue may find help in your words. - Good Luck and Kind Regards, - Damon
