I'm going to put the one I'm taking out into a external USB enclosure. Can I change boot order and boot to it or do I need to clean it and use it for storage?

The Hard Drive in my laptop is 120gig and has Vista and W7 on it and I taking it out and putting a 320gig HD in. I'm going to put XP Pro on the new HD. If some thing should go wrong with the new HD can I put the old one back in with no problems?

I'm going to change my HHD to a larger one. I'm going to use XP Pro Corporate x64. I will be a clean install on the new drive. What if I want to put old one back in would that be a problem or not. The one I taking out has Vista & W7 on it.

Have you tried Malwarebytes to get rid of it?

Look at this page ( http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads.html ). It seems Erecovery is the same for all Acer Products. You can find the manuals here.

Does the machine have an OS right now?

Go to the page I gave you ( http://support.acer-euro.com/empowering_technology/utility2.html ) download this and install it first then the erecovery and it should let you make a recovery disk with all the drivers and it will be stock just like when you bought it. First: Acer Empowering Technology Framework Version 2.03.2015 (install this utility first) Second:Acer eRecovery Management Version 2.0.2021 Edit: If the recovery partition is still there this should work!!!!

Scaned it with Nod32 and Malwarebytes and they say its clean!
