Hi Nanobot , yes you are right , it was the founding of Parliament , but it only applied to England , the Scottish and Welsh Parliaments have only just started now , so Britain is splitting up into it's original form , England , Scotland and Wales , but all are keeping the Queen as their head of state Magna Carta signed at *Runnymeade ( *weak beer lol ) v.close to where I work at times ,lots of plaques and statues , also the J.F.Kennedy memorial ,a bit of the UK is owned by America and the RAF memorial http://www.207squadron.rafinfo.org.uk/othermems_Run.htm I will post up some of my pic's in another thread ,next week if it ain't raining , Hi Tommie yeah simple is best , general rule in England , be polite and don't annoy other folk , but it dosn't allways work unfortunatly ,

latest on the no thrust Boing 777 "Both engines of the British Airways jet that crash-landed at Heathrow Airport were still running when it came down, investigators have said. But the engines did not respond sufficiently to a thrust request as it came into land, the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) said. The AAIB said it was now focusing on the Boeing 777's fuel supply system. US investigators have noted six previous engine failures in the same type of aircraft, it also emerged.

New techniques in Spreading HIV (Becareful) Must Read!
Roco replied to a topic in General Discussion
looks like this maybe a hoax , but it don't hurt to be careful http://viv.id.au/blog/?p=154 http://www.querycat.com/faq/2b1dc9089c5862fdc1dad45eae8b12d1 http://www.hoax-slayer.com/hiv-cinema-hoax.html quote from Dr.com Reference Library - Infections Index - HIV and AIDS " Can I become infected with HIV from needles on movie/cinema seats? There have been a number of stories circulating via the Internet and e-mail, about people becoming infected from needles left on cinema seats and in coin return slots. However these rumours appear to have no factual basis. For HIV infection to take place in this way the needle would need to contain infected blood with a high level of infectious virus. If a person was then pricked with an infected needle, they could become infected although there is only a 0.4% chance. Although discarded needles can transfer blood and blood-borne illnesses such as hepatitis B, C and HIV, the risk of infection taking place in this way is extremely low." wonder what little prick first started this e-mail hoax several years back -
WOW , I guess I am glad Britain doesn't have a written Constitution , IMHO the document is inflexible , and so many parts seem ambiguous , the only charter we have is the Magna Carta 1215 AD giving us our freedom , "The charter that King John was persuaded to sign at Runnymede in 1215 remains the root of all the constitutional freedoms that the English (and later the British) people were to win for themselves over the following centuries. Many of the issues it deals with might sound rather obscure to us today, but its one overriding principle, never superseded, was that the monarch was not above the law. He or she could only act in accordance with the legal principles that had been enacted by representatives of the people.

you are right philp , she got 2.1/2 years, I guess the judge didn't swallow it either, .

thats an olde english party game , often played by pilots " No Thrust " as the co-pilot shouted , the passengers rekon they had never seen the airhostes run to the cockpit so fast BTW coknuck , next time you guys try that one we will send over our new secret weapon "Amanda Monti, 24y " http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/4253849.stm

, you got to get your priorities right , nothing beats a nice cuppa Rosie Leigh , it was the hidden reason we gave up our ownership of America , the locals threw the tea into the Boston harbour , the bounders , the crash inquiry is still going on , "The findings confirm early theories that the pilots were pitched into a struggle to control the crucial final moments of descent. Only hours after the crash, an airport worker had told the BBC that one of the pilots had described how the aircraft "just shut down".

It has never been mentioned since , but we are back on flood alert again , some of the folk that got flooded back in July have just finnished renovating their houses and refurnishing , and they just got flooded again , http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-1300409,00.html Todays temp reached around 60 F in some parts , that is our May average , we should be around 38 F in Jan and dry , our rain month is April , "April showers bring forth May flowers" ( old English saying) " I saw a bumble bee this morning , and they can't fly below 55 F , and my garden is going into bloom , got buds everywhere , this past 2 years the UK weather has gone mad , even the birds are nest building ,
-
you are absolutly right RTB , my post # 2 is , guess my brain was frozen up there , BTW the temp in the UK is 58F today , but we have had the wettest January on record , and have floods again ,
-
Ok water under pressure constricts when frozen , and expands when it retrurns to water , thats when pipes burst , turn of the water supply ( removing the presure ) open the outlet tap, start heating the pipe close to the outlet , (with copper, a propane blow lamp is OK ), untill the water dribles out , then slowly work your way back along the pipe to the inlet , with plastic pipe a hair drier is best

even if you don't make 70 , using my diet sure beats eating lentils , and missing out on the fun ,

Thanks bro , we have an ongoing public inquires into an addition runway at Heathrow airport , originally it was built way out of London ,( 1947 ) but London has now expanded , and the housing under that flight path is now over a very compact residential area , at 5 miles out I get the American ( west bound flights ) turning over my house , and loud enough to wipe out phone calls , so as a country boy , that is what will finally force me to move , it now seems that the Boeing 777's , have had 14 previous problems with loss of engine power control , but none so far at this low altitude , if it had happend 3 minute earlier , the loss of life could have reached several thousands of people ,

'No thrust' on stricken BA plane The engines failed to respond to a "demand for thrust" Both engines on a plane that crash-landed at Heathrow failed to respond to demands for extra thrust, an initial report says. Despite continued demands for power the Boeing 777 "descended rapidly", landing short of the runway, the Air Accident Investigations Branch (AAIB) said. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7196962.stm thankfully all survived , but alegedly got treated this way http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7196128.stm BTW, I live 5 miles from there ,

2029 headlines from the UK, Roco baffles doctors and reaches 83 years of age using his special diet of "cigarettes and whisky , and wild wild women , his quote " a bit of what you fancy does you good , and it didn't do George Burns any harm either , I am even thinking of upgrading to Vista

, I would still go with the usb pen , , its' so much easier to use , the cable would be a "use once only for me" That 8Gb is cheap at around
-
Personally the USB memory pen would be my chosen route , it's just plug and pray , and they now come cheap enough , and after all the file transferring , you still have usefull storage/transfer space., especially for computers beyond cable length , BTW , if you add a short cut to the usb pen in the right click "send To " menue box it makes it quick and easy , to point to the file/picture etc. "send to usb drive "

Well posted Tommie , I was about to pose the same question "WHY " , been thinking about it for a day or two , but Jay Leno , has put it so much better than I could , I think some members may at times think I am anti-America , with my stance on war , guns and religion, also I have failed to fully understand the American patriotism , but that is just a cultural thing , The bad news media , to me seems just part of human nature , it's like a serious car accident on the freeway , everybody slows down to take a look, causing tailbacks for miles , but nobody slows down to take in the scenic view , The world is constantly changing , not just America , the UK is on the brink of a depression ,it will last about 2-4 years , these things come and go through history , As an individual all you can do is tighten the belt and keep a low profile , No point in wasting years feeling negative , as Jay Leno said, just appreciate the things you have , don't fret about the things you haven't BTW many years back when I was a kid , and being picky about the food I ate ( I hated porridge for breakfast ), Mom said be grateful, there's many worse off than you , A few years back I was talking to a Scottish secretary, and mentioned the porridge tale , She said I was lucky , some days as a kid that was the only meal she had , Roco

" i know for fact NOD32 does protect you against all forms of malware so therefore you woudlnt have anything installed on your pc to produce malacious activity." AV programs protect against all KNOWN malware, and even then relies on frequent updates , they usually lag the new malware by about a week , "There exists a proof that you cannot have a perfect defence it says 'you cannot write a program which will, in all circumstances, correctly determine the behaviour of another program'. You can get very, very close but it just can't be done," Ducklin told ZDNet Australia. http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/security/soa/Antivirus-software-is-being-defeated-/0,130061744,139257227,00.htm IMHO, if there was a 100% perfect AV program out there , Malware wouldn't exist

The only downside is you are running 2 incoming firewalls but outgoing is wide open ? The protection offered by NAT is very limited. It will keep an attacker from sending Messenger popup spams to your computer. It will keep people from connecting to services and backdoors installed on your computer. But it won
