my old dell died not too long ago after about 4 years of use...i ended up getting the Saitek Eclipse board and i love it.

sounds like the keyboard is pretty much screwed. i'd not worry about it...but i'd switch to a usb keyboard if nothing else..but you already have anoterh keybaord so it seems like yours et...
