  1. hey jontalk i agree, cablenut is a bit tricky to use. if your on 6 Mbps package try this ( i assume you downloaded version 7 of my tweaks ) browse to the path where you unzipped my settings eg E:VanBurens_cablenut_settings_version_7_ALL_WIN_OS_AND_SAT find this folder CABLE_DSL_FIBER_DIAL-UPWinXP_2K_CABLE_DSLMSS1460 dubbleclick on the file Cable & DSL 6000 768.ccs now you see alot of values in cablenut adjuster, click "save to registry" reboot PC and test speed VanBuren

  5. try this open cablenut, all fields suppose to be blank now set these values TcpWindowsize and GlobalMaxtcpwindowsize to 256960 set Tcp1323Opts to 1 click save to registry and reboot VanBuren

  9. hey mike_pasara and welcome to the forum try a larger file, 2992 KB, that is more accurate also to restore your settings to default, just open cablenut, click "delete cablenut tweaks" and click "save to registry" and reboot your PC VanBuren

  11. i havent made any research about that Belkin router, but i know some of em slow down speed alot, since speed is fine without router, and hes been testing linkspeed change and duplex change on hes NIC
  12. when using a router always use 100 Mbps full duplex when your connecting direct to modem, then try both 100Mbps full and 10 Mbps half and compare speed im on 10 Mbps and pull this :::..   18. i browsed a Swedish forum today and one guy said he talked to tech support for my ISP, he was told they will upgrade all 10/10 to 100 down and 10 Mbps up for free i assume it wont be a traffic limit, since its only 10 Mbps up o well lets see, what happens VanBuren
  19. hey schatjager and welcome to the forum your latency is too high during test, try replacing the LAN cable beteeen your router/modem and your PC, if that dosent help, call your ISP and let them check modemsignal RTT min: 60.2 ms RTT max: 547.5 ms RTT avg: 290.7 ms VanBuren

  21. hey thEnd and welcome to the forum try this http://www.testmy.net/convert to get Kbps to KB/s you need to split it in 8.192 so for your 1.5 Mbps its 1500 / 8,192 = 183 kB/s thats including TCP overhead, so your fastest real speed is around 10 % less but many times ISP

  24. if you have a router, try bypass it and connect direct to modem via ethernet. when using a router set your NIC to 100 Mbps full duplex and when your connecting direct to modem, test 10 Mbps half and compare VanBuren
  25. try loading version 7 of the tweaks i made, and use the Cable & DSL 6000 512.ccs VanBuren
