i tried this program, and it said i need motherboard manager, but i downloaded that and installed it only to find out that my motherboard (dell 8200) is not supported

oh yea,, does anyone know if its illegal to download fansubs of anime? thats what i mainly use bittorrent for, because america doesnt get everything Asia does, so the good ppl @ Asia record episodes and put subtitles on them, and im pretty sure that recording stuff from TV is legal, and as long as ur not charging ppl, u can distribute it but just wanted to make sure (btw, the animes i download are not the 'copyrighted' americanized ones....i get the real deal, in japanese ones...)

lol...yea...that sounds kinda normal wen i tried compressing a bunch of Office2003 installation files (it was taking up a little more than 1 gig for all the installation files and whatnot), it took what seemed to be like 30 minutes (this was with winrar), so yea...9.6 gb probably would take a while i guess it also depends on how many files there are, im guessing if it was just like 1 9.6 gb file, it would be a little faster than a thousand files that add up to 9.6gb[but dont quote me on this...]

well my desktop is 80 gig, so i figured that 20 gigs shouldnt really set me back too much, because i most likely wont install too many programs as for my budget, right now it is $0, but i am gonna try to get a job at Best Buy, and my friend says they give $10/hour for installing ram, so it seems pretty good; so, i figure if i work 5 hours a day, mon-fri, all thru summer break (~2 months, assuming each month=4weeks) then i can make $2000, and i guess government would take away like $200 of that, but thats when my parents can help me out . And also, the price is most likely going to go down by the time i get the money, so yea. The only think im not too sure about is the battery life--a P4 and a 256mb GFX Card, would i be better off with a 128?(on my desktop, i have a 64mb lol)

mac mini just doesnt seem good enough, idk, i never liked the whole small form factor if i ever get a mac, it will be a Dual 2.5GHz PowerPC G5 (or a G6 or G7 or whatever G its on wen i get enough money )

i like windows xp cause basically these days, windows is a must if you wanna play games but i LOVE how Mac OSX looks, i would GLADLY use a mac if game developers made more games for mac than windows

i used to use thunderbird, i loved it, but i had problems trying to set up 2 different email accounts at once but still keeping them separate little tab things (on the side), so i switched to Outlook 2003. thunderbird was awesome, if your only using 1 email account, go for it but Outlook 2003 seems to have more 'options', so i like it too

hey, that error that you are getting, i remember getting it on my old computer when I tried to reformat it (it was win98, and was FAT32). It kept giving me that error and since it wasnt working, i decided to format it to NTFS, and it formatted correctly that way. Maybe it will work for u if u format it to a different kind of file system too. just my 2 cents
